A wheel/tire change mess up the speedo too. I'm not familiar enough with the sizing of aftermarket rims to know if this applies to a Corvette.

It seems as if CongaMan has reached 206mph, in stock form, in 2006 already:

Whats the US standard? Car was built in US. Europe standard wouldn't not apply when it was built I would think.

Have fun out there!

I sure miss my sprints between Wurzburg and Frankfurt!

If not already, look up the Baden-Wurrtemburg Corvette Club. Some members are here on the forum and a great bunch. Lots of meets, events, cruises, Rudesheim, Normandy, HockenheimRing, NurburgRing, etc etc etc.

Also, if interested, have you looked up German Race-Wars? I believe it may have started in April, but once a month, 3 days of racing and partying and learning that "Sleep is over-rated" at Race wars! If you love car shows, Bodensee World Tuning is KILLER!!!

Ahhhh Deutschland.....A good place to be.....even better in a Vette!

Germany Race wars is a complete party scene, the track SUUUUUUCKS... The only real track I've found so far is the once per year public race day drags at the Hockenheim ring. The 1on1-motorsports.de at Bitburg is okay. The Bitburg "track" is better than German Race Wars though.

I'll have to look into the world tuning at Bodensee. I'm only about an hour from there.

I only went 178 mph, then my sense of self preservation kicked in.

I'll probably see you at the Corvette Fame if I don't attend the North Sea Jazz Festival. I've been attending Corvette Fame since 2006!!!
