Default What would you guys pay for this Z06

So I am thinking to make the jump from C5 to C6 in a week and found one that is looking good, just a little high

What would you guys pay for this:
  • 2006 Z06, Locally Owned, 2 Owners, Well documented car, at a dealer
  • Just under 10,000 Miles
  • Certified Pre-Owned (1 year bumper to bumper and 5 year powertrain)
  • Heated seat (not sure if that was an option)
  • Factory Navigation
  • No Accident history

I am not sure of any other options if any, but thats what I see from pictures and the vague description.

Based on just that what would you pay

The deciding factor here is.........Only 10k miles!!

That should be worth in the mid to high 40's regardless what year it is. That's a BRAND new car.

Brand new car indeed and the warranty makes me feel very comfortable as this will be my DD just like my C5 is now.

They are asking $50,000, I want to aim for $47,000 though just because its an 06 and didnt get the new transmissions that 07+ had

I usualyy think that most guys here "low ball" any Z. In this case, IMO 47K for an'06 is too high. Look around and I think you can find a low mile 08 in the high 40's. I've got an '08 3LZ (all the options) w 16K miles that is probably worth around 50K.
Keep looking.

It's an 06... I don't care what the mileage says, I wouldn't give a penny over $44k

Man I don't know. Even if it's an 06 guys this thing is still packing the same LS7 427 7 liter block and it's only got 10k with warranty. I would'nt go lower then 45k and that would be pushing it. BUT you never know, the more you can bring it down the better.

Or just be patient and wait for that PERFECT one to come out of the closet. It'll eventually happen.

Wouldnt buy an 06 or 07 period. I picked up my 08 with 15000k miles for $47K and I have new tranny and dont have to worry about dropping a valve having no warranty then having to dish out $$$ to repair. no thanks not for that price

Bought my 07 with only 15xx k on it for 47 about 6 months ago. 47 is not unreasonable for that car with a warranty

But not as common as the 06 and first half of the 07s Bucko and im sure you know that. Any car regardless of being a corvette can happen that it dropped a valve but the 06s Z06 are famous for that.

I bought a used Z after extensive searching a couple weeks ago and there are great deals out there. Being that its certified, i think $42K is a good price.

I just bought my 09 Z, so I have been looking at alot of cars recently. Miles are low on the 06 you are looking at but you cant buy any extended warrenty coverage due to its age. My 09 had 9500 and its was certified too around the 54k range. Saw a guy in texas had a 07 Z with 3500 miles for 50k. I know several of the cars I was looking at jumped 3-5K as spring rolled in. Same cars that didnt sell this winter, prices just jumped due to the time of year.

The only negative thing about this car is that it has two owners already... and only 10k miles in the past 5 years... has it been sitting around and where was it sitting around??

What about the maintenance history?? Oil needs to be changed even if it was never used over a time period....was that done with this car or has it only seen one or two oil changes??

I would believe it will be worth around 42 -45k depending on the condition of the car. Interior... paint etc etc.

What is the asking price? In any case, once you do get a Z, the amount of fun you will be having in life will quadruple and you just might love yourself a lot more!!!!

My friend's 08' broke so I wouldn't buy an 08' PERIOD! I think the OP says the car comes with a 5-year powertrain warranty.
