Everyone keeps posting XXX bought one 6 months ago.. for $XX.

ITS SPRING TIME... SPORTS CAR prices go UP UP UP during this time of the year. I looked on EBAY.. and WoW... 80% of all the 2006+ Z06s are going for 45k or more.

Winter prices ARE NOT the SAME as Spring prices.

Sorry, but if you want a SUPER LOW price... wait til late WINTER when the new Z's are right around the corner.

Get your facts right. 07's had the small batch of faulty rocker bearings. Not the 06. I have 6600 miles on my 06 with no warranty and I'm not worried at all. Your 08 has the same chance of dropping a valve as my 06 does. More sky is falling BS.

  • 2006 Z06, Locally Owned, 2 Owners, Well documented car, at a dealer

  • Certified Pre-Owned (1 year bumper to bumper and 5 year powertrain)
  • Heated seat (not sure if that was an option)
  • Factory Navigation
  • No Accident history
Sounds like a nice car. I bought my Certified 06 Z06 this past October from Herndon Chevrolet in South Carolina. The car was bought new by the guy who owns the dealership. I paid $42K for mine. It kills me to think the economy has hit the value of the Z06 so hard but that's reality. If the car you are looking at checks out, I'm sure you'll love the car but I think you'll have overpaid by at least ~$5K if not more. Good luck with whatever you decide.

+1 Nothing in the engine changed. You have the same 2 piece sodium filled exhaust valves and rocker arms.

What others have said. Cars are up 3-5k from winter prices. I wouldn't pay over 41-42 knowing that I can get a black 072lz flawless z with less than 2300 miles right noe for 45k. If you don't care about wasting a few extra k, then buy it and be happy. It's only money!! BTW, my tune shop says 07 and up are a lot easier to tune if you ever go the fi route.

Complete BS. The only real problem with the '06 is the flying roof

Just found this for the OP.... Here is a brand new '10 Z for $57k.... your dealer asking $50k for a used '06 is crazy!!!!
