Default Looking at a new ZR1

I found a dealer that has three in stock - they are willing to go below sticker about $5k, cash deal, no trade. Is this a reasonable price in the current market? I've been to one dealer that had it marked it up above sticker but just out of principle didn't negotiate with them.

You can do a lot better on a new '11, like upwards of $15k off sticker.

Thanks guys, I'll check out the forum dealers. They are definitely the best looking Corvettes I've ever seen.

Boardwalk up in Redwood has some well equipped ones for far less than what your local dealers are offering you.

on a new 2010 w/3ZR & aluminum chrome wheels, you should be able to buy (after all rebates) for $96K--$98K, depending on color (some of the colors cost $850 or so more). Maybe you can even do a bit better...?

You can't go wrong with Tim at Boardwalk or Wes at Reliable. I've had great discussions with both of them, and a great buying experience with Wes, simply because he had the particular car I wanted. Either one of these dealerships will provide you the best price and the best service you will likely find. IMO, the decision would come down to (1) which one has the color/interior/wheel combination you want and (2) whether you want to come to NoCal to pick it up and drive it home (a trip which you'll thoroughly enjoy), or have Wes deliver it to your doorstep in Mission Viejo.

Either way, you'll love the car.

Bought mine thru Tim at boardwalk. When I bought mine they were getting a black one ready to ship. I saw the care given. You definitely can do WAY better (your local dealers are screwing you big time) and would definitely recommend a chat with TIM.

Thanks guys - the input saved me a lot of $$$. I'd send you an electronic beer if I knew how. I'll post the pics when I pick the beast up next week.

Congratulations! What color, did you get it from a forum vendor?
