So.. let's talk top speed issues...
At some point in the near future, I may try and push the Z to it's upper limits, and I'm curious to hear a few stories (or point me to a thread of stories) of people who have ACTUALLY done this... and I know some of you have.
More importantly, what alignment settings and tire pressure were you running, did any of the fender liners come loose, what was the temp, and did you blow any coolant lines while doing it?

Never did but have heard if you fold in your side view mirrors she may hit 200 mph bone stock!
Best of luck and I am sure you will be doing this on a closed course controlled legal environment!

Hit 195 @ the last Miami Mile Top Speed Event. Car felt stable, no issues at all. Ambient temps were around 80 or so.
Tire psi was @ 32psi---Nitto Invos. Factory alignment specs.

If you fold in your side mirrows, how will you see if someone is trying to pass you?

I've been a little over 190 in my previous supercharged base model C6 about 3 times. In a straight line the car feels smooth and planted. The Z06 has a little more down force so it probably feels even more confidence inspiring.

Nasty, I was thinking about doing the same event, but saw the INVO's are only W rated in the rear and was worried about blow out. Guess they worked alright for you then

Nitto Invo's here with many mile passes... You won't have issues with them, great tire. If the surface is smooth you will be very surprised at how well the car handles at speed. It is a clam adrenalin rush that is VERY addictive. I believe mile events are going to continue to grow, to be a regular country wide competition in several states. At least one mile event should be added to every Corvette owners "bucket list" imho

Hey bro, I was concerned about this as well...however a lot of other guys were running the same tire out there. I just made sure they were in good shape, and the air psi was where I wanted them.
No issues and I have used the same tires (Invo's) for all 4 events. No issues yet, knock on wood!
You should come out to the next event whenever they get it scheduled...it is a blast!
Hope to catch up with you soon. (btw, new sig pics look great!)

No issues until someone has a blow out at 200 mph.

Sounds unbelievable, but when I raced my R1 regularly, I would gain a consistent tenth in the 1/4 & 2-3 MPH, by folding the mirrors in. And thats on a bike, with tiny mirrors.

glad to hear the invos held up so well, only bad thing is the tires are not rated for that speed
