This should probably go on off topic but I think many form members never go there........

This is a VERY graphic video of the bad choices that can be made regarding drinking and driving.

My best friends 19 year old sister was killed by a drunk driver, Jan 5th 1985. There were 4 19 year old girls in the car, one survived but has been paralyzed ever since. The guy that killed them was driving on a suspended license pending his up coming trial for DUI.. He served 6 years, they all got life.. Thanks for posting,,

Have seen these commercials before, as a physician for 30 + years, I wish to God we could run ads of this emotional impact here.

Think, and drive safely.

I've been hit 3 times by drunk drivers - all rear end collisions, all three cars totalled. I've been lucky enough to walk away each time, but if there is a next time, the other driver will not be walking away, regardless of their condition after the crash. I've had enough.

Young people should have to watch a video like that before they can get a driver's license. For us old guys, put in on all cable channels at the same time, like they do when our leaders have an announcement to make.

Enjoy the holidays...safely!

Default sickening..........

In the first week of Christmas ride checks in the relatively small city I live in 30 people were charged with impaired driving,I don't understand, with all the publicity. why drunks still believe its OK to get behind the wheel. Obviously the penalties are not severe enough!

Thanks for posting.

It's a sobering reminder of the horrors of drinking and driving. I was also rear ended by a drunk driver when I was in college. My car was totaled, couldn't even open my doors because the impact locked them in place. I was lucky that I had no injuries. However, the driver that hit me was carted away in an ambulance.

Thanks for sharing

I really wished more and more commercials like those were more common so people could really see one of the ugly sides from drinking too much.

I don't drink any alcoholic beverages; never have and never will

I've lost friends and family members due to too much alcoholic consumption either by them or other people.

Thanks,
Carlos

WOW, was that powerful. And it does relate to Corvettes, and all cars. I hope the mods agree and leave it here.

This should be a sticky on all forums. I was once the 'bloody idiot' (watch more of the youtube videos) until I matured and smartened up. I was soooooooo lucky I didn't kill someone. I look back and I can't believe what an a$$ I was.

I understand. I am 62 and back in the 60's when I first got my license I think the general rule was ........"if you could find your keys you were OK to drive".......... glad to say I'm wiser now.......... and like you probably very lucky I didn't hurt anyone.
