Default Smaller Wheels for the ZR1

It is obvious the ZR1 has plenty of power but it is not use efficiently by virtue of tire spin. Does anyone know of rims (18" (F) and 19" (R)) that will clear the brakes and open the door to using NT05r's at the rear and TRACTION!

I am all

Happy Thankgiving!

Probably do 19 front and 19 back. That's what I would do. Happy Thanksgiving

I run these very wheels when I'm on the race track. They do indeed fit, but the fronts are really tight. All it takes as a tiny bit of tire snot to line the inside of the front wheel and you'll get marks carved into the front caliper.

Been there, done that. :-)

I have a set of 18" wheels from CCW that fit just fine. Plenty of clearance. With 18" wheels you have the ultimate variety of tires available to you as well. I use these wheels at for the track. In fact, I am about ready to get a second set for the track so I can have a spare set of rubber ready to go.

If you want more details, send me an email.

Would GS wheels fit? I have seen them here for sale for about $900. Hoosier tires come in the Z06/GS size.
