Problem with that is you have to follow the "vapor" trail to find it.

I always just hope the neighbors cat eats the mice.

Find the hole where they're getting in, and plug it. Otherwise it's an endless battle. And don't leave your garage doors open too long at night. Then do keep mouse traps set inside the garage, too. I put sunflower seeds in my mouse traps. Sunflower seeds will attract them if they're nearby, but aren't so stong smelling as to attract them from outside the garage to inside the garage.

Before I park my Z06, I lay a sheet of .04 mil visqueen (clear plastic sheet) that is 10' wide X 20' long on the slab. I pull the Vette up onto the sheet with the car centered on the sheet.

I put the fabric cover on the car with the elastic bottom, then I go around pulling the visqueen sheet up under the elastic bottom of the cover to seal the bottom of the car. Oh, yes, before putting the cover on, open a car door, pull the sheet into the car and close the door, do the other door, then put the cover on and tuck the rest under the cover. It serves (2) purposes:

1) The visqueen under the car stop the movement of vapor from under the car and mitigates issues of condensation and moisture.

2) It seals the bottom of the car from mice climbing up under the car and eating wire.

I guess I could add a bait trap under the car, but, I haven't had any problems.
