Is there a mistake here? The total wt given directly below is 74.5 lbs. When I did a Z06 header set up I weighed the total xpipe, headers and cats to be about 65 lbs which is consistent with the individual parts listed below?
I also weighed the ARH headers with hi flow cats and mid pipe to be 47 lbs and change if you want to add that to the list.
OEM Headers/Mid section/cats------> 74.5 lbs
OEM Mid section-------------> 19.4 lbs
OEM Manifolds---------------->25.80lbs
OEM Cats--------------------->20.40lbs
Total = 65.6 lbs
OEM Headers/Mid section/cats------>American Racing 1 7/8 w/cats(-18lbs)

Please feel free to post the weights of parts you have weighed. See an incorrect weight let me know. Vendors could be a big help here. Post the weights. I'll update the list accordingly.
****To keep the list manageable parts to be included in the list must be able to be upgraded to something better or lighter****
****Conflicting Weights will not be changed until I get a 2nd verification from another member or a picture posted/PM'ed of the part weighed w/legit scale****
*Some parts are lighter, but keep in mind some parts are heavier due to better quality or more OEM functions retained

With the Moton coil overs (+ Eibach coil springs), the leaf springs are NOT retained. I do not know, however, how much extra weight is saved.
Anybody else who can jump into this?

Jason, I know you're waiting for the new Michelin Sport Cups with the new compound.
Do you know if those are available in 19" CTS-V rim sizes?
You might have a better power/weight than our car now. You need the ZR1 brake setup.
Looking good!

Check with a tire supplier. I don't know if the sizes are available.
I'm actively looking for ZR1 brake parts.

Need to update this with the new Katech carbon fiber deck lid. It would be great if this list could also be ranked in order of approximate $/pound reduction in each category. I'm sure the forum vendors could help with pricing.

Just to kill some time, I went down the list after starting with the C6 Base Car weight of 3179lbs, and began shaving weight using averages from each category. For example, if the lightest tires listed saved 12lbs pounds from stock, I subtracted 6lbs. If the lightest clutch/fly combo saved 40lbs and the least only saved 10lbs, I subtracted 25lbs...and so forth. I figure this represents a good base for affordability, durability, etc when all things are considered for your dual purpose car that sees both track and street use.
Of note, I did not eliminate any safety features or creature comforts, such as airbags, interior panels, A/C, etc. The only exception would be the switch to sport seats (average savings) and Pfadt seat bases.
With all that done, considering lighter exhaust/wheels/tires/brakes/battery/coilovers/seats, and the like, with a carbon fiber hood/roof/halo/deck and lexan out back, I was able to pare the car down to a solid 2920lbs.
That's a +/- 260lb savings! Seems pretty good!
