Just purchased 2010 ZR1 and my state requires a front license plate. Any ideas about vendors that have a removeable plate holder or folding holder ?

just dont put it. most states require them but most cops dont bother you. especially in a corvette.

..just ruins the front, no plate in NYS for 12 years...only one ticket for 'no plate' ...was actually an "on the spot" reduced speeding ticket (75 in 55)...$75 fine I think

no plate and no ticket on 09 Escalade either for 2 years...

3M double stick tape will hold the plate to the front of the bumper w/o issue or any mounting holes.

I've used this on multiple cars and it's never shifted... I've only had the cars for ~1 year though, so not sure of the long term impacts on the paint (I didn't notice any) but it would be similar to removing emblems probably.

Here is another option that has been around for a while and used by me and many others.

If you live in Virginia and plan on driving down interstate 95 especially in the Richmond area a front plate is a must. I was stopped twice in a two week period for this. The first time the cop was extremely nice and noticed I had just gotten the car. The second time, two weeks later, I was running without the plate because the car was running hot 230's -238 and I wasn't sure if it was due to the top flight plate location, (it was not.) I explained that to this cop and showed him the plate and mounting bracket which I had on the passenger foot well and he let me go. The topflight system is the best compromise of all the plate holders out there in my opinion. It's pricey, but necessary if you don't want 80+ dollar tickets.
