I personally do not believe a rocker change is a Bolt-On. However, that's only one opinion. The drivetrain is unaltered. I still have my OEM heated driver's seat. I weigh in at 260 lbs. Need to shed a couple pounds to eek out every hundrenth.

So a full bolt on C6Z with stock heads/cam went 10.19 and also almost trapped 137MPH?
That is mind blowing. What was your race weight? Also. Do you consider changing rockers to be a bolt on? Great runs and power. I always found Atco to be a fast track but when I used to run my 96 Impala on a DR, I found Cecil County dragway had the best starting line. VHT city at the place...

Stock rockers only.
We have yet to run at cecil. I always heard great things about that track but I also heard that in recent years the prep has suffered due to one of the key track maintenance guys leaving.

Dont know why you would think they are not, has always been a simple bolt on from old musclecars to the new stuff....

Bolt-Ons without Internal Engine Modification (e.g. modified airpath, headers, PCM-tune, aftermarket clutch, non-stock rear gears, skinny front tires)
Internal Engine Mods plus Bolt-Ons (e.g. stock displacement 427 with bolt-ons plus heads and/or cam)
I once learned something the hard way when I had my C5Z. I ran an 11.98 with my stock C5Z including its OEM tires but I had used a drop in K&N filter (not a CAI). I was informed that this would qualify as a Bolt-On so I proceeded to reinstall an OEM air filter. I was able to run an 11.84 as Bonestock. So much for those drop in air filters.

His car continues to progress with quicker et's while always sticking to the original plan. There are many friends, vendors and tuners who have contributed to his success and progress.

When looking at the C6Z Fast List, I felt that this would constitute an internal engine mod but I never asked for clarification.

Well there's the problem, I could give a **** what the C6Z fast list thinks, but I dont! Drop in air filters are not bolt ons and bolt on rocker changes with non roller to roller or diff ratio are bolt ons. You get a bunch of new to fast car guys making judgment calls on stupid little stuff like this that maybe should stick to online forum racing instead of guys that have been doing it for 25 years plus,on the track, before the internet, wrenching to make a pay check, etc........Geeze!

Since I started drag racing for fun about 5-6 years ago changing rockers didn't fit into the bolt-on categories on the boards. Not to say that is the right way of doing things but you have to make some cutoffs and it's just one way of looking at things. There is certainly some power to gain with different ratios and stability at high rpms by changing up the valvetrain. We're just having fun trying to fit in. I agree that the best way to learn is to take advice from, and pay close attention to, the old scool racers.

My F2R Procharged 02Z is getting assembled now. I should be ready for Oct and then MIR2 in November. Regardless, if my car isn't done I will be there to handle the video.
