Default 2011 ZO6 v. 2010

For the "base" or "regular" ZO6 (not Carbon or ZO7), are there any substantial differences for 2011?

The reason I ask is that when I perused my MT yesterday, the ZO6 ad implied that for '11, the Z gets more CF parts.

TIA

I'm kinda glad you posted this. I'd like to know the skinny on the new exhaust. the 2011 Z06 now comes with the ZR1 X-pipe. the mufflers are also supposed to be "tuned" and sound more aggressive. they are different part numbers from the ZR1 exhaust. Also, the valves will stay open longer so you can hear the gurgle on decel. I want to see inside or a sketch of whats inside the new 2011 Z06 muffler.

thought about it but my car has an extended GMPP warranty. dual mode is the best of both worlds. i recently read how running the valves open with the popular switch messes with fuel trim and cylinder scavenging, but that's another thread.

As an owner of a 2009 Z06 that has the transmission's nibbles and grinds with shifting from 1-2 & 2-3, I would say the most important change made to the 2011 Z06 is a change in the synchro's design. Hopefully the change will cure the problem, or at least, make it better. The other change is in the tires. The 2011 Z06 gets the new GEN2 tires, which, hopefully, are better then the GY's used on the 2006-2010 Z06's.

I'm not aware of any additional CF parts being used on the 2011 Z06 other then those pieces offered as an extra cost option.

Can't always believe what you read. If you like the dual mode, go with the Fusions. Sorry for the hijack, op. Just had to chime in.

I think M/T is referring to the extra CF parts that you get if you order the CF (ZR1 style) package. The parts include the spoiler, splitter side skirts and roof panel all painted black. You can also order the Z07 package but that is separate from the CF option.
