Default 06Z Shocks vs 2010Z Shocks

Thinking of swamping out my original 06 shocks for a new set from Gene. Comments? Worth the trouble? My suspension is definitely twitchy and unsettled. I'm hoping the newer style shocks will calm it down a bit.

Forget GM replacements, find the thread about DRM revalved Bilstein group buy.....DRM still has some sets available. EVERYONE who's replaced the oem shocks with these loves the change, the DRM shocks are just what your looking for (more controlled/planted)

I have a set waiting to be installed when I get around to it, but like you my 2006 doesn't handle rough pavement well and gets bouncy and unsettled.

Best part is the price, $450 shipped for them.

Don't only take my word though, read the reviews in those DRM threads. You'll see how well liked the product is

The DRM Bilsteins have a much better feel than stock even for everyday non-racing use. And for $450 you can't really go wrong!

In 2008 the rear shocks were redesigned to take care of the issue you're referring to. But, each person is different as far as whether or not the newer rear shocks do it for you or not.
