Default Lowest C6Z Bolt on RWHP track results are in!

First off the title I dedicate to Granny RobZ.
OK interesting night to say the least. The car felt decent in the 80+degree weather and very humid. Putting a helmet on in the lanes SUCKED! We logged some runs and seen a few minor things and had some intereesting results. Overall I'm not happy but not really dissappointed in the results. Heres a break down of the runs.
1st pass air temp at 86*, tire pressure at 20psi warm, approx 3000 RPM launch spun 1st, hopped a little and then in 2nd gear it felt like the clutch slipped bad or tire spin. No clutch smell came out so we decided it must've been tire spin.

60ft-1.843
330ft-4.897
1/8mi-7.351
1//8mph-102.52
Shut the car down drifted to 12.32 at 76.70mph

2nd pass by the logs I was actually at 3700rpm launch and I thought I was lower LOL. I aired the tires down to 16psi warm cause I was watching ALOT of cars spinning bad on launch and part way out. Air temp approx 82*. Car spun alot of first gear again with light hopping. The front end stayed up so it felt ok so I stayed into despite my better judgement.
60ft-1.827
330ft-4.856
1/8mi-7.302
1/8mph-101.54
1000ft-9.380
1/4mi-11.137
1/4mph-129.12

3rd pass tires at 16psi hot.I got warned in the lanes the guy was sorta nice about it to stay above 11.50's. As I pull up the line they stop and walk over to say dont run below 11.50 and I said I know no problem. Tried 3500rpm launch. Car actually felt good with a little kick to the right at the top of first but felt decent enough. My judgement was not only stupid but off on how the good the run was.
60ft-1.846
330ft-4.848
1/8mi-7.283
1/8mph-101.84
1000ft-9.356
1/4mi-11.112
1/4mph-129.22

Well I came to the tower to get the slip. The lady instead of being in the booth is standing out in the lane. She said I'm not to give you your slip, everyone is flipping out on the radio up there right now. I appologize and she gives me the slip as I hear on the radio 2 or 3 people yelling I told him to keep it above 11.49 I TOLD HIM, I knew he was going to do that. he's done!!!! HE'S DONE HERE!! I told my passenger be ready when I get up there cause they are PISSED! So I run up to where you come in and he hops cause the one tech guy that warned me was staring me down in the lanes and looked like he was gonna walk over as I took off.
So I'm happy with the 1/8mph and 1/4mph's. Not happy I couldnt get the car to hook well enough to make what looks like a easy 10second pass in the heat with just a 1.75ish 60ft would've easily put me there. If I were in the 1.6's things would've got real interesting. DA calculators were showing between +1650ft to +2200ft. Using the weather channel for barometer, my car for the air temp.

I'm pretty far from getting my goal of 10.5x's at 132mph but cold temperatures, a clutch, lighten the car up with some track prep I'll do everything I can to get it there.
Thanks Gary2004Z06 for the pep talk before the last pass.

And some friends (using that term loosely) had their way with the back of the car while I was in the car getting ready for a pass.

Not bad #'s for the conditions...That's a strangling +DA!!
My car would be hard pressed to run 11.6X all out in those conditions.
It seems your launch needs some work. it sounds like you are getting into the throttle TOO fast. Normally, I have A LOT of trouble spinning those DR's, even at 25psi, even at Etown! lol

I would have thought you'd also have more RWHP w/ those mods, but what do I know as I am stock....

Anyway, have Rob & Gary work with you on the launch. It seems that is your deterrent to your goal to me...Don't forget, colder air=more RWHP w/ LESS traction....Good luck!

Good job. I'm realizing how hard it can be to turn good times in these cars. My best last night , 1st time ever on DRs was 12.0@120. DA was 8000ft or so.

I hope that blue tape didn't hurt the paint.
What special method did you use for removing blue icky stuff?

That's not very responsible/honorable how you promised the officials and then went back on your word.
Is your car lowered?

Actually we used some Adams cleaning products, lightly pulled the tape off, then went with a rinse of cool to warm water. Then used a light compound to assure no swirls and followed up with a nice polish. I also cleaned the tailpipes at that point due to they were icky after all that acceleration.

Thank you
I said I understood that I was not to run below 11.49 w/o a bar.
They not only tossed me they booted me out after the 3rd pass.

Looks like painters tape. Use the stuff all the time for the track. Peels right off with no damage at all. Been using it for years.

At what RPM did you shift? Did you power shift or let off?

Nice run

Wow 129.X in 80 degree weather. That is a good 5mph more than a stock car would go, on paper that would be a 500RWHP car

That is something I need to work on actually. I do not power shift you can clearly see the throttle off and back on durings shifts on the logs for approx .24-.30 of a second on each shift which is not fantastic by any means. Should be below .20 IMO once perfected. I shift at 7000rpm on the tach. However my logs show rpms as high as 7400rpm sometimes. I dont completely lift on the shift because it happens fairly quickly.

I'd love to see what Rangers shift speeds come up as and several others making the passes at the 1/4mile.

Nice times but aren't your dyno numbers kinda low? With only a bassani catback and airaid intake I put down 471.

You did read the title of the thread right? "LOWEST C6Z bolt on RWHP track results".

However, did you take your 471rwhp to the track and see how much HP you really have?

Lol I read the title and thought you were just being sarcastic...

I went to the track once and I am horrible at launching and slow on my 2-3 shift. I ended up running a 11.8 at 121. Nothing special at all and I think my best 60' was like a 2.0.

475 rwhp sounds a bit low for those mods. I made 481 with just CAI, AR LT's, high flo cats and tune. Pretty good times at the track though. Nice driving
