Thanks for posting. I am not happy to see the big boost in the ZR1 MSRP. Looks like the discounting on ZR1s is just going to get deeper.

With slow sales and lots of inventory GM shows some ***** and supports the people who have already bought their product. Unlike Toyota a few years back discounting the Supra in it's final year to the the tune of 10K screwing the people who bought the earlier models.

I think this is an effort from GM to keep from offering incentives on the hundreds of 2010 left on the lots............. i.e. jack up the price of new ones to make the old ones look more attractive.

Looks like the premium for a ZR1 3ZR with comp grey wheels is over $23k over a comparably equipped Z06 3LZ with CFZ, Z07, NAV. Over $23k is too much premium essentially for the difference in LS9 vs LS7 engines. Yes there are other differences but engines would be the primary difference in how the two vehicles are equipped as I have optioned above. JMHO. I think GM is going to gut 2011 ZR1 sales with this over the top increase for the ZR1 only.

Could be. After the '10s are mostly gone, heavy discounting on the '11s by next spring.

The main difference is one it shares with the rest of the line-up: variable-effort steering. If you have the AHS in normal mode, steering effort will be the same as it is now. If you have AHS in Competition Mode (or PTM mode in the ZR1s), the steering effort will increase somewhat.

The pilfered that idea from HPVO and the CTS-V. ;-)

Toyota did take some things away when they dropped the price. Probably not $8k-$10k worth of downgrades on the Supra, but the 97/98 MKIV Supras had a 3 channel ABS braking system vs. the 4 channel in the earlier models and they also cheapened up the seats with vinyl and on the seat backs and a one piece seat back along with some other minor things.

They have to raise the price 3k so they can add it to the 3k rebate list.
