I'm assuming the RS is on cups, can anyone confirm this?
With that kind of hp figures out of the GT2, and the 911 AWD running a strong as it is, does anyone here STILL believe the HP figures that are being published for the 911? It wouldn't surprise me know if that 911 is close to 530hp-550hp crank.
Glad they kept the slush box out of this one and put in a real gearbox.

I'm as suspicious as you. Given that Porsche 2010 GT3 has a curb weight of 3280lbs...the GT2 RS with a couple of snails in the back is going to weigh more than 3020.

These are the closest I could find. I'll bet they'd sell either to you for $245K in this market.

Of course most people spending this kind of money don't have these thoughts, it's just 'I want it', and 'I have the money to buy it'.

whatever I said was according to Porsche, as of yesterday morning (my time) they had 41 left, and 40 after my friend booked his.
PS. According to Porsche they are 245,000 EUROS, not Dollars or about $317,000.

LOL! I consider under 7-8K low miles..... Just do a google search and you'll find them ADVERTISED at around $250-$300 (perfect condition) under 10K miles. And do you really think someone EVER gets the ADVERTISED price? Especially on a used car this price? Seriously, offer any of these guys $250K and see what they do.... And then add in the markup on top of the new $245K GT2 RS.... I bet you could get a REALLY nice Carrera GT for less than a GT2 RS. IMHO, the answer is pretty easy as to what to choose.

The Cup+ tires are not as good in the dry as a regular Cup tire. I've heard that the Porsche-specific Cup and Cup+ tires have a harder compound for durability.
Something like 1250. Which is for sure hurting residuals.
Not too sure about the collectibility with this GT2. It's still merely an evolution of an existing car, still sharing major components, whereas the CGT was pretty much bespoke from the ground up. The 993 GT2, however, is holding value very well. That's a much rarer car though (something like only 50 built), and was actually homologated for racing whereas the latest GT2's aren't. For some people, that matters a bit.

I saw a new GT3RS at a dealership yesterday that was ordered with a set-up for the track. Sticker is $130,000 and change. It has a custom racing club multi-color that looked great. I have not had a chance to see what powers the GT3RS, but it looked like a sweet ride.

How do you know they're clean? Because they advertised clean title? I've been watching used CGTs on Porsche boards for over 2 years now and I can't count how many times I've seen post like "Is this CGT for $2xx too good to be true?" And after people do their research the cars usually comes back either abused or crashed. And 7-8k miles on an true exotic car like a CGT is not low, IMO of course.

The European base price is 199,500.- Euro. Including VAT and national specifications/equipment the new 911 GT2 RS will retail in Germany at a price of 237,578 Euro.
The U.S. MSRP will be $245k.

The weight is the impressive part.
600HP on the 3.6 liter engine isn't unusual. Just a simple computer tune and pipes gets a standard Turbo owner there and this been available for years. That motor is a tank, just like the rest of the car.

Fair enough, but I still bet you could find a nice one around the same price as a GT2 RS. Especially considering the sales price vs. advertised price. 10-20 years from now, I'd bet on the GT being worth WAY more..... Just look at the current market value of the 996 GT2! Ouch...
