Default Bought my ZR1 today

I finally did it. I pulled the trigger and now I'm the proud owner of a 2010 Jetstream Blue with Comp Gray Wheels (Dark titanium interior). I LOVE this car! I've been driving it all day! However, I do have a question, after driving around for about 1.5 hours I parked the car and stopped the engine and heard a hissing sound from the engine. The sound lasted about 5-7 seconds, I'm guessing it was the coolant (there was no visible steam or anything). Is this normal?

Pics of car will be posted tomorrow.

I hear the hissing sound all the time, that is due to some water dripping over hot tubes..When I heard it the first I was concerned too, but that is normal..

Congrats Pics please

Congrats on the new ZR1! It's a phenomenal car.

Don't forget, you are eligible for a free 2-day Ron Fellows ZR1 driving school at Spring Mountain. We currently have 7 ZR1s in our stable, including two 2010 models.

You can simply call Donna or Melinda at the track (800-391-6891) to set up your class. They can also help you get your certificate from your dealer.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Take care,

Ken

My 07 vert does that also. Nothing to worry about. I had heard years ago that it is A/C condensate hitting hot components.

Pics will be posted today . I meant to take pics yesterday when I picked it up but I just couldn't stop driving it and before I knew it the sun went down (and I still kept driving it).

Going to get it hand washed, maybe tinted if they can do it today, then snap some pics.

Is this your second 2010 ZR1 ?

Your profile lists you having a 2010 CRM ZR1.......

It's my first Vette! I was trying to decide between CRM and JSB and I thought I was going to go with CRM... then I saw the JSB in person and had to have it.

Here's a "teaser" pic I just snapped from my hotel room (bought the car out-of-state).

Wow, I really like that combination. I wish it was offered in 09. Enjoy the car and if it is your first Vette take time to learn its attitude before ripping into it
