Katech has a chassis dyno?

I think J. Lucas's car is already out the door, so I'm going with J. Hall.

E85 FTMW!

But I must be honest, seeing that "RWHP" in the title and it being a thread from Jason@Katech, I had to do a double take!!

It would seem that the mayans were right, just wrong on the date! I thought Chassis Dyno's were blasphemous!!

This was on a dynojet, so it was actually a level playing field. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Is this on E-85 or E-100? Either way that is sweet.

593.5 RWHP/568.6 lbs-ft DynoJet on two back to back pulls. First one was 590.5, second and third were 593.1 and the fourth 593.5.

Too tired to post the dyno tonight. Spent 5 hours getting home after a flat rear tire on the freeway. A bullet size hole ruined the day and a new $500 Pzero Rosso tire.

$280 dyno session; $180 tow; $144 to sign up with Own Star; $500 for a new tire. Bragging rights, priceless.

I won't interpolate the results since we have already done the SuperFlow engine dyno on this motor, but, it was done before the larger throttle body, Halltech Super Bee/Super Beehive; and my tuning.

What was amazing is that I did all the tuning, and the only thing we improved on with a dyno session was to pull 4 degrees of timing to eliminate knock retard altogether. My seat of the pants tuning net 590.5/570 on the first pull.

Mod list:
E85 fuel
Katech Torquer Cam 116
Katech 13:1 Pistons with DLC wrist pins (Hot honed to 4.130")
Katech Oil Squirters to the piston bottoms for cooling
FAST LSXR Intake (no porting)
WP 102 TB (no porting)
Halltech Super Bee CF112/Super Beehive
Beehive PSI springs and Katech Titanium Retainers
HP lifters
Katech HP oil pump
Katech ZR1 dual clutch/aluminum flywheel
Pfadt Carbon Fiber driveshaft
Kooks Headers mated to Akrapovic Titanium Xpipe and mufflers
E85 tune by Jim Hall
65lb/hr FAST injectors
Stock fuel system (injectors were at 84% DC at 6500 rpm) and absolutely no lean conditions at full tilt.
Stock Z06 timing with minimum timing changes.
Stock heads, valves and ports (no porting of any kind anywhere)
Stock rods and crank and balancer
Stock radiator and thermostat
Iridium Plugs

Oh, and one more thing.

26.2 mpg in 6th gear all the way from Oconomowoc to Appleton, WI (100 miles) on 2.49/gallon E85 fuel.

No surging of any kind, and a perfect mannered car at all speed. Not loud or obnoxious, and Deb and I picked up $200 worth of groceries last week with it.

We're going to ask Obama for an Executive Order to allow us to build these machines.
Fat Chance.

Thought about that on the way up, and you know what? I never watch those videos. We'll almost never. The reason is they all look the same.

I'll get some videos of the car on the road soon.

Next project is the ZR1 brakes coming next week, and a weigh in on racing scales so we can put more weight over the rear end, just in time for Jason's new weight loss thingy coming soon.

What injectors are you running, and are you using the stock fuel pump setup?
