Well, thats another thing about me, and thats firearms. My good friend who holds a FFL just informed me he has a Barrett 50 BMG semi auto I have been watching them for a few years, bad thing about watching is that all I saw was the prices escalating

Tom.... last Sunday you said that the cam in your car was making you loose on long straights...... then on Tuesday you're building a blown LS7.
Is this a customer project or is this going in your Z?
Wherever it winds up it's going to be something special. Please post pictures as the build progresses.

Hey man, nice project. It's good to see someone build a blower package from the ground up. It really pains me to see a guy spend a ton of money on a blower that he sticks on his 11:1 motor. Keep us posted.

Come on down so you can take a close look at the TVS2300 to see if you can make one fit on your MP112 setup. I gotta figure out a way to rework the fuel rails for additional feed points, shouldn't be hard to do just gotta take some measurements to make sure there is no interference with other devices.

Safety Car
My pops got picked up a Barrett .50 BMG bolt-action when they first were available. We tried going shooting it at one of the local out doors ranges but they said "no way, that thing will scare everyone away!"
Going to try another local range.
One thing is for sure, that rifle is FREAKING HEAVY! Seriously, you see those guys on youtube shot them while standing and you think its not to bad. I can bench my own weight well (200lbs+) and I swear that I could never shoot that rifle while standing.
HAve you seen a BMG bullet in person? Big SOB!

Former Vendor
Update
Well it has been awhile since I have updated this post. I recently got the engine back from the builder.
Block with vew of the Darton sleeves
Main line studs installed
Lots of goodies
Katech CNC ported LS9 oil pump
Katech piston oil squirters
Mainline billet steel girdle
Bottom end assembled with girdle in place
Piston squirter in place
Custom Arias pistons
LPE ported LS7 heads with Ferrea valves and spring kit
I am still waiting on LPE to send me the final pulley configuration. They have a custom 10 rib drive system with a 14 rib rear drive. Its been a long wait in line to get their parts as its not something they normally offer as a kit to the general public as it was all meant for installation at their facility. Hopefully sometime in August I will have this thing running. I have a 2010 PCM that I will be trying to use in my car. It is a test to see of I can use a 2010 engine calibration in a earlier car. The reason I am doing this is because GM revised the LS7 engine calibration which removes the MAF and injector flow rate limits. Meaning I can use a 85 lb/hr injector easily by just telling the PCM that is what I am using. Before I had to use the maximum allowed constant and fudge the other tables for the PCM to fuel correctly. Hopefully this will make tuning easier and more accurate. The only other issue is finding time between my home life and taking care of normal customer cars to get my car done before summer is over.
I guess being busy is a good thing, as many have you may have noticed I recently became a CF vendor here. However with workload and home life with my 19 month son and wife its hard to do much else other than work, but that is a good thing.
