Hard to tell what is speculation and what isn't on R&Ts part. I think what's pictured has potential but could be much better. I'll wait a year or two after the C7 for the new Z anyways. Hopefully they get that right. That being said any drop will result in me keeping my current ride

If its going look like the one pictured, i'm not a big fan of the front end. I would love to see more pics to get a better idea of the new look. I like the idea of it being lighter and more aerodynamic!

Will be interesting to actually see real spy shots of one like we did with the C6. I was kind of hoping the new C7 would be more revolutionary but more than likely will be evolutionary. Whatever it ends up looking like, it will look good.

Will Tom Peters still be the chief designer?

Simply rendered speculation, it could look like a completely opposite car.

The 5.5L isn't so bad but the car is just ridiculous. The "more compact" comments are right inline, however, with the BS agenda from modern day progressives.

The front end is horrendous.

God, I hope that ain't it. It looks like a C5 with an ugly front end.

Why are people posting like this is going to be the C7?

That's just an artist's rendering of what they think it will look like. Nobody knows anything solid yet so don't get worked up or down.

Love the rear. Not so nuts about the front...looks like if a caddy and a vette had a child.

I'm not a fan at all....going with a smaller displacement motor on top of that. I really don't think GM will be making a 427 C7. For that reason alone, I'll be keeping my Z for a while.

+1 From the pics in R&T.... I'm not impressed. The new MPG restrictions will kill the big HP cars for a while.

BUT...

the new Porsche 918 Hybrid Supercar is glimpse of what the next generation of HP wars will look like. 78 MPG with ZR1 speeds.

IMO this is not it. Just a bunch of speculation and an artist rendering. Overall I don't really care for what I see

Absolutely fugly. Hate the sharp creases versus curves.

It takes a few years for me to warm up to any new Corvette model change. Most likely the C-7 will be an up grade and we'll all come to love it. Every year Corvettes gets better and better. (Except for the C-3's) Here's hoping we don't revisit the 70's.

I dunno, this really gets me depressed actually and it looks like I'll be holding onto the 08 for a while....
I wasn't planning on getting another one until the new Z06 shows up anyway and has enough time to have the prices drop a little too. I'm trying to give GM the benefit of the doubt though for the future.
Also, I think this rendering is NOT what it's going to look like in the end. There's way too much time to come up with something better!!!!
Lambo doors anyone? Haha
