Default American Racing Headers Spec Race Headers

For the Dodge Viper ACR-X that is. We thought our Vette customers would love to hear what we’ve been up to lately. Never resting on our laurels, we recently developed what top Chrysler engineers felt best compliments the Viper ACR-X program. After extensive comparison testing Chrysler gave us the green light as the spec header for all ACR-X road race Vipers. We’ve included a couple of cool videos that we’d love for you to check out. The video explains what ACR-X program is about. Being Vette owners/enthusiasts we thought you’d enjoy the videos. Thanks.

Also said the car has different pistons? I'm assuming higher compression ratio too. Anyone know the HP output of this version? Sounds great as well. You guys make fine headers!

Priced at a cool $110,000, the ACR-X retains its 8.4-liter V10, but gains a set of racing headers and a low-restriction exhaust to increase output to 640 horsepower -- an additional 40 ponies over the standard model.

Thanks. Seems the 40HP could be reached with just the headers and maybe a tune. I thought those 2 mods makes 600RWHP a reality? Why change the pistons as stated in the video? Sweet cars for sure and like the C6Z's have come down in value quit a bit..especially low mileage 08's.

Jumbo, they went to forged pistons for added strength and reliability under race conditions. They still run pump gas. The headers and tuning create the power increase.
