[Z06] My first Vette is a C6 Z06.

Another first vet owner with a C6Z.
Checking in at the other side of the scale at 60. If I owned this animal at 22, knowing me at that age, I would be in serious trouble. I have a lot of respect for this car.

My first one in 30 years....I had a 68 427 way back when and it took the 30 years and the C6 Zo6 427 to bring me back. BTW I wonder how one of those big block styled hoods on the 68-73 would look on my car? Anyone make em?

I don't know how I will be able to afford to top this. I started with mustangs and camaros and moved on to the CTS-V, and then now a Z06. Guess I'll have to go exotic next time. Just got to get a 2nd job to pay for all of the maintenance they require.

Does it get any better than this (other than the ZR1)? I figured, I'm 30, it is time for a Corvette. C6 you say? Yeah, they look good, but what about a Z06? Extra 10K for 505hp and more refined body? I'll take it. Found my 06 Machine Silver Z06 on Ebay last month. Feel like I got a pretty good deal, so far the only thing I have done is replace a sway bar bracket bolt, and replace the spark plugs. I've owned a supercharged CTS-V before(550 hp), but never the real deal Z06. Thank you C. Newton, and anyone else associated with the baddest "reasonably priced" GM SUPERCAR, ever produced. I will beat the hell out of it, and expect the best outcome possible.
A friend of mine listened to my review of the new truck and asked me: "4 wheel drive??????"
I said "No".
"He ain't got no truck then"; was his response.
I couldn't say $#!*.
I think about that sometimes when I see people in here announce that they have bought a new C6 or even a C5.
First question comes to my mind, much in the same way as my old friend's question is: "Z06 or ZR1????"
If the answer is "No".
........
I won't buy another Vette unless it's a Z06 or a ZR1.

Your post reminds me of a conversation I had years ago when I was in college and after my father had purchased a new pickup truck.
A friend of mine listened to my review of the new truck and asked me: "4 wheel drive??????"
I said "No".
"He ain't got no truck then"; was his response.
I couldn't say $#!*.
