Default crash at PBIR

I sure hop ehtis wasnt anyone here. THis was a quote posted on the cherokeesrt8 forum.

"Well a bunch of us headed out to the track tonight in search of some serious "up north" DA. I think it would have been a great night for my Jeep personally, but unfortunately most of us didn't even get to make a pass. At the beginning of the second round of passes a new ZR1 pulled to the line so I waited to see what he ran before pulling my jeep in line. What happened next was not what anyone wants to see! The guy in the ZR1 ran wide open the entire length of the track and never hit the brakes before hitting the sand pit, catch fence, and finally the wall at the end of the track. I don't know his fate, but they did Traumahawk him out to the hospital. Scott (BilletTechnology) was at the big end as the ZR1 went flying by so he has more info than I, but from what I understand, the dude was unresponsive. Scott can chime in here if he likes, but I'm sure it's not really what any of us want to think about happening. In any case, my thoughts and prayers go out to the guy in the ZR1 and his family. "

That's terrible

I wonder what the circumstances were to cause him or the car to be WOT the whole time

Sounds more like it may have been a medical issue.

Can you have a "stuck accelerator peddle" on a drive-by-wire system?

Not a new ZR1. I have the Silver ZR1. I ran immediately after the car that crashed. I am not sure what kind of car it was. They gave me his timeslip by mistake. He went through the traps at 108mph.The tower reported seeing no brake lights.

Could have been a heart attack with his foot stuck on the gas pedal. Just a guess. I don't think I would assume intentional, but something definately went wrong. Good luck to the guy.
