Akrapovic titanium exhaust
I've just had one fitted to my GT-R, but the one they make for the Z06 sounds sick!
Also have a carbon-fibre sleeved tip option!
The claim "It is like: 13.7 HP plus, 28.4 Nm plus, 14.3 kg minus"
Anyone familiar with MotoGP or other international bike racing series will have heard of them. They supply most of the top teams.
The workmanship on my GT-R's system is mindblowing:

Yeah I think that's going to be the painful bit. My GT-R system was £5000 and a US vendor listed it as being $10k in the US!
Don't know if they've priced up the Z06 system yet and I don't know who their US distributor is? As I said, until now they've mainly been known for high-end superbike systems, but they now do the 911 TT, M3 etc.

Akra systems are very nice! Their work on MotoGP stuff is incredible! They had this system on display at PRI along with some Pcar stuff. It looks very high quality

A F%^& and his money are soon parted...
I've already got a 100% titanium system... on my C5Zo6.
5,000 Euros for THAT? I don't care what the worksmanship is like.... it's not made of silver with gold inlays... 5000?!!

Yeah, I was starting to wonder if I logged on to the cbr forum instead!!!
Akra's stuff is just crazy! I have one on my 600cc though it's a slip-on, not a full setup.

It's not a dual-mode system. In fact my one is only a little louder than stock (on a GT-R). Akrapovic build all their road systems to be Euro regs compliant.

I may be wrong, but that exhaust on the Z06 in their video definitely has actuators on those handsome titanium tips. What an awesome system for those that can afford a $10k pricetag.

Sorry, you're absolutely right! Didn't spot that.
They need to advertise that when it is in full production; definitely a major selling point.
Oh and don't take the $10k figure as any indication of its real price. That was just what one US GT-R vendor said the GT-R system would cost in the US.
The Z06 one might be priced very differently, especially through the official importers.
However, it will definitely not be cheap!

Considering the amount of material in the full length true dual 3" exhaust on the Z06, this will be A LOT OF MONEY.
Interesting that they actually cast titanium from refined scrap, and I suspect this is how they provide the smooth bends rather than trying to mandrel bend stock tubing.

I doubt it will flow much better than the stock system. The real point of this is that it should be significantly lighter which is always a good thing. Let's hope they don't price themselves too outrageously.

Dude... carbon tips! And dueal mode!
Love it... just probably not the price tag.
I believe the advantage of this system is to see how much in lbs. you drop by switching over to it.
Kinda cool having an akra exhaust on my bike AND on the Z!

Had a Ti system on my wife's 2003 M3....weighed nothing, it was great, but droned too much. Pulled it and put the stock back on......amazing how much the stock weighs vs Ti
