Default Tuned the ZR1!!

You can't get better tunes, Jim@Speedinc does it again!!

While I have absolutely no idea how much more power MY car is making, its DEFINITELY making more power, and definitely feels nicer

Car will pick up a little more power with some more breaking in, and the weather is getting cold (relatively speaking) here in Dubai, time to have fun!

Anyways, I can tell you that the only changes - to an extent - were done to the fueling and no spark changes, which are already high for those who took a look at their stock files.

I turned torquemanagement off, who wants that stuff anyways

Also turned boost control off, and figured out what this does. It does NOT make more power, it simply aids in driving the car while allowing you to easily stay out of boost etc... Ill put it back on.

I have another thread on whether I should spin the motor to 7000rpms or not, damn I can imagine the new top speeds in each gear, and the fact that the car is still not dieing of HP at those rpms.

Lots of thanks to Jim. If anyone needs a tune, look no further

PS. those tunes were done on the dyno on other ZR1s, produced an average increase of 30rwhp above stock.

IMHO any moddest gains thru tuning on a ZR1 is not worth voiding the warranty.

Famous last words, I have not heard of many ZR1 motors breaking so when one does GM will pay special attention. But good luck trying to rip GM off, you do know they monitor these threads and I bet there are not many ZR1's in the Middle East.

Sounds like Daddy will take good care of his little boy...

Don't bother share because we really don't care about you ripping off GM or your father's wallet.

Thats the most retarded post ever, daddy's wallet and little boy lol. Just for the record, whatever I own is what I BUY FROM MY own wallet, just to break the ice here I have a Masters degree in Finance and I run my own Investment company and I make enough money to afford those luxuries.

Now:

That previous post of mine was meant to sound AS A JOKE, hence the . If any failure results from a defect in the vehicle then YES i will claim warrantee because its my right, but if its of my own negligence of something I have done, I wont. I dont think we were "RIPPING" GM off by running their local dealership for a few decades btw...

If I wanted to rip GM off, id experiment tuning the car until it blows up and put it back to stock, I wont be wasting my time looking for reputable tuners like Jim who has spent considerable amounts of time to dial in the tunes on those vehicles, which btw have MINOR adjustments into them ONLY.

You might wanna ASK before you make another silly comment like this one

Maybe it's just me but as you post, you seem to be talking down therefore giving, (again maybe just me), the impression that you've been spoiled rotten and I really have no respect nor any time for that.

If that's not you, I apologize.

another example of when GM would rip u off is in the case of my friend who had his FANS only tuned because the car was overheating in stock form, nothing else was changed in the tune, well guess what? He had an oil pump failure which killed the motor, a slow death. GM refused to entertain the warrantee, because increasing fan speeds are known to cause mechanical oil pump failures.......

That's great but that and a Masters degree don't help character. You're in charge of that so let it show in respectful posts.

Just like the one quoted on the top? You might want to read the threads topic and reply to that one for starters, you and the previous guy went dramatically patriotic all of a sudden.

the car now probably makes 675BHP on the conservative side of calculating things, and its definitely nice.

AFR is still rich, timing untouched, no knocks, and nothing to worry about.

in the near future I might add catted headers just for a little rumble, and I heard they are worth 15rwhp on the ZR1, not to mention the reduction in IATs from the resulted drop in boost.

Props on the new found power!! Any vette enthusiast gets my thumbs up, even if you're not American

I was recently following up on Lingenfelter's simple bolt-ons that put them over 700rwhp and close to single digits in the 1/4 mile!!!!

BTW, it might just be me but I sense a little ZR1 envy lol.
