Has anyone had their Z06 tires sound like singing?
I hit this brand new road today (freshly paved but dry) and the tires were making a sound that almost sounded like a musical instrument. Once I hit an older part of the road, the sound went away. Anyone had that happen? Its a 2008 Z06 with 2100 miles on it.

Same here. (I'm still on the GY runflats.) The new pavement around here also does it on my wifes' Honda Pilot with new Michelins on it. I just figured it was a combo of the tread patterns and the texture of the pavement.

Yep, the stock Goodyears are really good at it. They're especially "vocal" on concrete that's been grooved for drainiage and traction. Depending upon the pavement "quality" the volume can be so loud that you can't hear your passenger nor the radio. To be fair, even Michelins will do it pretty well once they start to wear down. It's the nature of the car to transmit and magnify the vibrations in question. Part of the deal.

It's happened to me depending on the road surface, the day I picked up my Z I had to get on 355 south near Chicago which is under construction, the tires were "singing so loud" I thought I had a problem and was going to turn around and go back to the dealer, but then the road surface changed and the noise went away.
