What year is your car and how many miles do you have?
GM Partshouse has them for @2,225.

If you actually want to stay with a stock setup, you can buy used ones for about $300 to $400 from people who have done the aftermarket exhaust. Just check the C6 parts for sale section.

well i'm kinda thinking about B&B fusion or Corsa anyway, any ideas on which has better overall sound I know the fusion retains the butterflys but i have corsa on my older vette and its great

Corsa will drone if you decide to go with a cam. IMHO the B&B Fusion system closed sounds like the corsa system. The B&B sounds even better at WOT. We have great prices on both, but B&B has the best quality and sound.

Corsa was perfect for me when I had stock headers. Once I added headers, it was horrible (drone -during low rpm cruise speed). So I went back to stock exhaust & sold my corsa. Knowing what I know now, I would more likely to get the borla cuz it retains the butterfly & can always elect to shut off valve. My .02. Good luck.

I have installed many Corsa exhaust. On the regualar C6 they do not drone, but on the Z06 they do drone a good bit with headers and especially with a cam. Maybe we can agree to disagree, but I even just flew out to vegas and picked up a Z with Headers/Corsa and drove 22hrs to get home...droned the whole way. I am just saying if I am going to live with that I would rather have the B&B System which IMHO has a better sound quality plus the butterfly valves. I even have a best exhaust trophy to prove it.

How does it sound with headers and stock exhaust. I had B&B prt bullets and they sounded awesome but way too much drone. I went back to stock but would like a little more. B&B's quality is top notch. They looked twice as good as stock but I couldn't tolerate the drone. I like the no drone of the corsa's but I don't like the tips as well as B&B. I'm kinda on the fence right now and can't decide what to go with. The headers bring something new into the equation.

You guys are absolutely right. There are no borla that retains the butterfly. I simply made an error & meant to say b&b fusion. Sorry about that! Mind you I only said I'm willing to try the fusion cuz it retain the butterfly but do not know how it would sound open. The key issue with me is that I'm able to run the car w/closed butterfly while cruising @ low rpm.
In response to the question how does the stock exhaust sounds w/headers, my answer is LOUD enough for me. Although, it isn't a tight sound. Sorry for the confusion.

Its when you remove stock mufflers, cut them open at the top and seal a perforated pipe inside to make an almost straight through pipe. Theres a thread detailing all of it somewhere
