Default Does it matter where you jack from?

We were at Spring Mountain this weekend for track days. Someone was "helping" a guy bleed brakes and decided to jack up his car.

that is the right spot if you have a jacking puck. or you go under the rear subframe as specified in the owners manual.

The jack is sticking out of the rocker panel. The guys hand is where the jacking puck goes.

Jackman stepped up to the plate and said all costs are on him, take it wherever you want. Can't ask for more than that.

Having foreknowledge, priceless. Realizing a late discovery, painful as well as costly.

That is a VERY tough situation to be in. I mean...a lending hand is always nice provided the lending hand knows WTF it's doing...otherwise, as in this case, it is absolutely pointless and will end up causing more harm and aggravation.

Hope all gets resolved to both parties satisfaction. *shakes head*

Looks like he went in too far with the jack head and missed the frame rail, and ended up jacking up on the floorboards instead... ouch! Is that still made of balsa wood like in the C5 Z06? I sure hope he missed the computers and fuse panel up in there!

Car owner and the jackman are close friends, by this time next week repairs will have been made and the incident will be history. If your going to play, sometimes you gotta pay.

Looks like a C6 Standard.

No Gurney fender flares in the tire wells and no rear side panel brake scoop.

If the jackman steps up , but still , I can only imagine what I would feel like . I do admit , if I would do bad I would do what I could to make it right , deep pockets or not .

Not as expensive as carbon fiber.

Remember it's only plastic.

I don't think the "you play, you pay" applies here...
