New Personal Best.... 8.98
We are here at the LSX shootout and have made a few passes so far.
1st pass was scrapped due to traction issues...
2nd pass was scrapped due to blown tranny computer fuse...
3rd pass was 8.98@137 (lifted at the 1000' mark)
4th pass didn't happen because of rain, but we are supposed to be in the lanes tomorrow at 8:15 am.
Hoping for some good air tomorrow.

Break the record, sell the car, chill for a while and then start all over again with a new project
Congrats homey, you are cooking with this good air and it's only going to get better and you faster
Keep it up
Thanks,
Carlos

Dude, your hair must be on fire!!!!
Awesome #'s... a fella once told me that when it comes to cars, SPEED is simply a mathematical function of how much money you want to throw at the car.
I'd love to see a video of an 8 second pass!

Here's a sure way to get the record... something like this 6000hp C4:

Congrats on your new PB Are you saying the IRS record for Vettes or for any car? I know at least one Viper and one Supra have been in the 7s with IRS. Good luck on your quest none the less

The 8.54 is IRS Corvettes....
yes I still drive it on the street from time to time... actually before the race this time the car had over 20 miles of break in and heat cycles as well as we drove it downtown for an alignment and then off to a photo shoot for another magazine article.
We were signed up to run True Street and would have if the stock computer hadn't caused an issue. We are working on some changes to have it ready for the street car shootout in NJ in November.
Wow.. Can you drive that thing on the street?
