His car hauls @ss. My suggestion is not to ride with him.
BTY Germany is a looong way from you.

I am glad that I bring out the best in most of you I was just stating my opinion like we all do on here -- gotta go now I was speed typing and I wouldn't want to risk a finger cramp

I'm glad your still alive. It takes 1 inch of movement of useless traction at those speed for your car to start swerving all over the place at those high speeds and consider your life to be non existent. Next time make sure you have some protective gear.

i think it's awesome. the original poster enjoyed his car in a fully legal way.
He didn't break the law or endanger anyone else, so I fail to see why others have a problem with it. I personally find it pretty sad when uptight people in this country (USA) feel the need to impose their value system on the rest of the world.

I'm sure these cars can do 200mph stock, but in the right conditions. GM use the top speed of 198 from an average of runs, so some probably topped 200mph.
Like one said, the power in these cars is like a drug. Very temping and if I had a place where it was legal, under the right circumstances I might try my own personal land speed record.
Good for the OP for enjoying his car. Definitely has big ***** doing this at night. For the most part, at 195mph, the car will outrun the visibility of the headlights every 2-3 seconds. I race an definitely would need more visibility than 2-3 seconds. And no, I'm not trying to be a nanny. We all do things from time to time that we know was not the smartest idea at the time...but we still do it
Here some cool numbers;
at 195mph
-the car is driving at 286 feet/second - almost an American football field every second-at the speed you are doing a little more than 1 million feet/hour

How could you move ahead of the field of view. You'll move through it more quickly w/ less time to react, but moving ahead of it? Maybe on turns where the light isn't pointing where you'll be, but that's not moving ahead, is it?

Correct. You can't move ahead of the speed of light. That would take a lot of horsepower.
