Default My New Tune, Cutouts... #'s just in :)

WOW!

Just got back form Vengeance Racing in Cumming, GA...

My initial plan was to have them install some e-Cutouts by DHM and program in a simple mail order tune.

I was going to send my PCM to Chuck CoW, but you guys convinced me to do it right and Dyno it... so I did, but I want to graciously thank Chuck CoW for his offer to give me a supreme mail order tune.

------------------------

Okay, and now for the numbers...

Stock 505hp at the fly, 435 RWHP...

After e-Cutouts
K&N Air Filter
M-2-W
Ported Throttle Body
Tune/Dyno

NOW: 560hp at the fly, 483 RWHP, 449 ft. lbs. torque!

Mike from Vengeance said the relationship of HP at the fly is a ratio of 1.16 : 1.00... they dyno only gave me 483 RWHP, so extrapolating back we get to 560hp at the fly (which is only an estimate).

Long day for me, but well worth the wait... the cutouts sound SWEEEEEEEEET! I highly recommend them... soon, I'll be posting a video and pics for y'all.

I'm located on the GA/TN/NC tri-state line in Blue Ridge... Columbia SC is about an hour from Augusta, GA... that puts you about 5 hours from me... I20 to ATL, then 75/575 North to the state line.

As for the muffle mod, I asked the tech who was installing the DHM cutouts and he said he never heard of it... I could be wrong, but I think that only the shop owner Mike "C" gets on this forum.

Very nice!

I'm probably not too far away for you either, in Greenville SC. The shop I work at has a dyno and I'll be putting my 2008 Z on there probably next week!

Mark - Can you PM me the price you paid to have the cutouts installed? Did the shop provide them or did you buy them seperately?

I wouldn't say doing the dyno is the RIGHT way to do it but to each his own. Chuck has transformed my car into the beast it should have came from the factory as. He really knows his vettes and i wouldn't let anyone else work on my car.

Be careful where they are dumped ive seen plenty of Leaf springs cut in half with the cutouts in time... I dont like cutouts or the muffler mod personally i think with such a quality car u mind as well bite the bullet and get a quality aftermarket exhaust... Just my 2cents.
