Default 08 Z06 issues?

I am going to look at a new 08 Z06 tomorrow, dealer wants 58K, only 125 dealer miles. Any issues with the 2008 model year I should be aware of?

Trading in my 2005 (maybe)

The known issues were found in 2007 and 2006 with roof delamination and a bad batch of rocker arms in 2007. Both of these issues were resolved by 2008. The 2008 benefits from a better steering rack and a better transmission. Assuming that is a decent price go for it!

Smoking deal, take a look at what the 2010's are stickering at and this is an absolute bargain!

I've had my '08 for a year and a half, zero problems...

Good luck!

I have had mine for almost a year with one little issue and one big issue. The check engine light came on and needed a program update for the ECU. The big issue trying to keep the smile off my face everytime I drive it

My '08 has been doing fine for the most part, but these high temperatures lately are playing hell with the A/C system. Looks like they finally figured out the problem, though (pressure regulation problem). Other than that, it has so far been a great car!

And that's a great price, IMO. Go for it.

The only problem I have had is front end alignment. Right off the truck the front end was out . Had a another one just recently.Front end was out alittle, not much, but otherwise I can't get enough of it.

Oh, yeah, definitely get it four wheel aligned. Mine was off, too.

Also, have them do the recal for the window buttons . It takes 20 minutes they have to replace the module in the door i think. The problem is somtimes the windows will go up and down by them selves like there trying to reindex.

If you're thinking of attending HPDE/s then look at a 2009 bigger dry sump, If not then pull the trigger.

VY is the fastest color for sure. I've had mine for 1 year and it developed a rattle early on. The rattle seemed to come from under the passenger side dash. Seems there were was a problem with a 0 ring splitting in the oil tank. That caused a tube to rattle against the inner wall of the tank. Easy dealer fix under warranty.
Now go get that car before someone else does.

Couldn't be any happier with my '08 3LZ car, even if it is JSB.

I've owned an AE '03 and '06 Z51, aside from various TSBs needing attention all have been unbelievably reliable, enjoyable beyond belief. Simply excellent.
Been very fortunate, that way.

BUT have to say the '08 Z06 has been the best of 'em all so far, hands-down. Particularly in the area of brutal, raw in your face performance AND at the same time a world class touring car suitable for simply taking a liesurely cruise.

That's not a bad price a'tall so if you've the means by all means go for it!

Be sure to drive it with the transmission hot to make sure it shifts smoothly. A very small number had transmision shift issues when hot.

Sounds like a deal.

I bought an '08 recently with 3k miles for just a little less than that. New '08's were 63K at the time (2LZ's)
