The problem with the so called clutch fluid fix is when you open the reservoir against GM's recommendation do to the hydroscopic materials involved. You now have to continue that procedure do to the moisture contamination that results from violating that integrity. My standard C6 convertible just turned 110,000 miles and it still has the original fluid in it. There are way too many self proclaimed experts on this forum with way too much time on their hands.
thanks!

No where near you guys. My left-over '08 bought in February '09 has 5,6XX sitting in the lot right now. If this year goes like the last 2 with my C6 I'll end the year with about 10K.

Maybe it wasn't a recall but a TSB (technical service bulletin). There was a problem with 06s and 07s when backing up and turning slow the rear clutch packs would bind and make a clunking noise. The original fix was to just change the rear diff fluid, which I had done but a month later the problem returned so they ended up replacing the clutch packs and I haven't had the problem since. I've heard they updated the fluid again and that should resolve the issue.

No problems with 07 Z06 23,000 miles.
I got my 07 in November '06. Put 23,000 miles on it and traded it in on an '09 ZR1 on July 3. It was a great car! I drove it from Texas to Nebraska and got 28 mpg. Got 18,000 miles on the original tires. Never had a problem. Just changed the oil every 5,000 miles. I really miss it. Would highly recommend a Z06. Super car!

25,000 Miles. 2007. LPE 660hp
Not ONE single issue what so ever since I bought it. Not ONE! electrical, mechanical, nada!
I REALLY prayed for a good car believe it or not. Been Blessed.

crap - i feel like I should be driving mine a lot more reading all these posts. I'm at 1500 miles and I've had it for 1.5 years, it's an 08.
For me, I love that new car feeling and smell though, it's nice to get into it and feel that it's clean and new, It feels like I just got it for the last 1.5 years :-)
Doesn't get old...

50k and happy!!
hi guys
i have 50k+ on my 06 zo6, replaced battery and tires, no trouble at all. change my own oil and drive it. gets washed once a week for sure. car is driven summer and winter. early in january did not drive for 2 days because snow was not removed other than that drive it all the time. every time i drive it, it puts a smile on my face. I fully expect 200k out of this car.

Bet you don't see many threads like this on a Ferrari Forum or a Lambo Forum.
A real testament to the Z06's quailty. The motoring press should highlight high mileage Z's every time they mention the interior being "cheap".

42K on an 08 Z06. I had a bad seat belt sensor and a brake position sensor issue when I first bought it. After that, everything has been fine.
My only complaint would be the GY run flats. I went through 2 sets at 11K each before changing to the NT05. That set went 19K before replacement. That set still has tread but has a lot less grip in the rain than I'd like. Dry grip was still very good. They may get finished off at a local track day this year.
