can you post some back up data on that? Like where GM says that and how you would bleed a clutch or break system for the first time? as well as any specialty tool that you'd need to keep the system (breaks or clutch) from being exposed to air (and thus to moisture). I've build a few cars and I've always use the self bleeders, and never had any problems what so ever with moisture...always used a brand new bottle of fluid.
thanks!

No where near you guys. My left-over '08 bought in February '09 has 5,6XX sitting in the lot right now. If this year goes like the last 2 with my C6 I'll end the year with about 10K.

Maybe it wasn't a recall but a TSB (technical service bulletin). There was a problem with 06s and 07s when backing up and turning slow the rear clutch packs would bind and make a clunking noise. The original fix was to just change the rear diff fluid, which I had done but a month later the problem returned so they ended up replacing the clutch packs and I haven't had the problem since. I've heard they updated the fluid again and that should resolve the issue.

Default No problems with 07 Z06 23,000 miles.

I got my 07 in November '06. Put 23,000 miles on it and traded it in on an '09 ZR1 on July 3. It was a great car! I drove it from Texas to Nebraska and got 28 mpg. Got 18,000 miles on the original tires. Never had a problem. Just changed the oil every 5,000 miles. I really miss it. Would highly recommend a Z06. Super car!

crap - i feel like I should be driving mine a lot more reading all these posts. I'm at 1500 miles and I've had it for 1.5 years, it's an 08.

For me, I love that new car feeling and smell though, it's nice to get into it and feel that it's clean and new, It feels like I just got it for the last 1.5 years :-)

Doesn't get old...

Bet you don't see many threads like this on a Ferrari Forum or a Lambo Forum.

A real testament to the Z06's quailty. The motoring press should highlight high mileage Z's every time they mention the interior being "cheap".

42K on an 08 Z06. I had a bad seat belt sensor and a brake position sensor issue when I first bought it. After that, everything has been fine.

My only complaint would be the GY run flats. I went through 2 sets at 11K each before changing to the NT05. That set went 19K before replacement. That set still has tread but has a lot less grip in the rain than I'd like. Dry grip was still very good. They may get finished off at a local track day this year.
