Default ECS Trans / Rear Brace - Now available for the C6 Z!

We finally recieved our C6 Z Trans / Rear End Braces this week!

We are letting them go for $379. These are available for all manually equipped C5's, C6's and now, the C6 Z.

The brace is made with a combination of HD Steel mounting plates and aluminum tension rods to help stop the deflection inherent in C5 & C6's during Hard acceleration. This deflection can cause thousands in damage as well as leave you stranded at the track. At $379, shipped.... it's cheap insurance!

Keep it together!!!! In stock and ready to ship!!!!

Any questions feel free to email me at mike@eastcoastsupercharging.com or shoot me a PM.

No exhaust Clearance issues, and the Braces weigh about 15lbs.

The install is done easily if you are doing other drivetrain work (clutch etc). We've had people say it can be done in the car, but I have to imagine its a knuckebuster to say the least. Much easier with the driveline tilted down....

Good Talking to you James! Most definately keep us upto date! It's going to be a sick build!!!

I was going through some old photos... and came across this carnage...

This is from a C5 we had in the shop some time back....

This the brace ties the trans/diff together and reduces the deflection under hard acceleration?

Will it help with a potential wheelhop issue?

Not a bad price!

It won't necessarally help with wheel hop, but it will keep the drive line mated together as well as adding rigidity to the driveline assembly. The drivetrain is two seperate pieces... as you see in the pics above, torque such as a hard launch puts a huge load on the area where the tranny meets the diff. With wheel hop and big torque, the shock in this section is sometimes enough to snap the pieces apart as in the pics above.

The Brace holds the two sections together and reinforces the driveline making it resistant twisting and breakage. When you consider the cost of parts alone... a new tranny will be $2500+ and a rear about $1500+ .... the brace serves as cheap insurance against breakage.

Hmm but do you really need a WHOLE new transmission + rear end for such breakage? Can't buy the casing & shafts separately and do a rebuild?

(Ignore labour costs, just wondering.)
