Default Factory GM ZR1 Carbon Fiber Roofs available

I have access to get the factory GM Carbon Fiber roofs finally. I have already sold one to a customer and if anybody else needs them, PM or call the number in my avatar. Prices can't be beat anywhere on the forum. I am about $200-$300 cheaper then any other forum vendor for these factory GM roofs. Price is $3750 for both the roof and the halo panel. Additional hardware like bolts and such is a few more bucks.

Oh snap, now you got me thinking. What do you estimate your dealership would charge for this install?

Based on the fact your car is here for all the other Carbon Fiber goodness, we will hook you up. I will put together something and let you know when you pick your car up. My guess is about 3-4 hours labor. See you next week.

Ordered. It is on the way. Can't wait to see it with the Carbon fiber rockers, splitter and headlamps you bought.

Anybody else interested?

Word on the street is 7lbs for roof and roof bow combined. Maybe RichieRich can verify.

But the weight is being taken off at a point furthest from the CG, so it's like taking off 25lb down below (on the curves) lol...

I heard the same thing Jason stated, but I will be happy to weigh them back to back. I should have Lonnies parts tomorrow or Friday and I will compare them on our shipping scale. Not exact, but it will be close enough.

If its only 4 or 5 lbs probably not worth the cost if doing it for weight savings. If you like the look of the carbon roof then it is a good price.

This may be a dumb question but how does the roof come off of a z06?

Just pull the headliner down and it is a few bolts around the perimeter of the roof frame. I have had Z06 customers drive around roof-less while waiting on getting one painted for the recall a while back.

I still have not received the CF parts yet, so no answer on weight savings just yet. I will post them as soon as I find out.

I forgot about that. Mine is an 08 so I'm thankful not to have to worry about that happening.

Do a search. There are several threads here that detail the process. Just remember, you'll have a fair amount of flex in your chasis when you have the top out.
