I see the vast majority of CF members here are complimentary of the Viper. I'd bet the reverse would be true if a Viper owner posted on the Viper forum that he just got a Vette.

For the price as explained Mid 60's. Only a fool would not consider this to be put in your stable. Congrats! They are great to look at. Never been in one.

Many of us have owned both. We also know they are different cars.

Not true. Most Vipe rowners have been long time vette owners. You'll always have an ignorant basher on both sides though. As a whole, most in the Viper Club have owned or do own corvettes, and respect each car for it's different attributes and intended uses. For me personally, driving my Viper with the top down on PCH, is a much different feeling than driving my Vette. You have to have owned both cars to understand.

Depend on which viper forum you're talking about. The VCA forum is a great forum. Viper Alley is a tough crowd.

Go take a 30 min drive. Come back and tell us how many Vettes you saw and how many Vipers. You will then have a answer.

I like the Viper's look and HP. I got a very close look under one on a rack a few years back... and the suspension, welds and frame were nothing as nice as the Z06.

I wholeheartedly agree with you; however, I did find it annoying even driving my old Z4 with 255 hp/220 torque with all systems off when I'd be caught in rain. I don't want absolute compromise, after all we're talking about driving on the street here.

I am talking about the VCA forum as I am a Viper owner also, when ever anything positive is mentioned about a Z06 the trolls and posers come out in force! There are several guys over there that own both and they respect both but there are many more haters that troll and just look for a chance to rip the Vette and I don't think thats the case with the Viper on this site.

Yeah, there's nitwits everywhere on the internet. Some of the worst bashing I've seen is right here on CF! C5 and C6 owners trashing C4 owners.
