While you are in your manual read about how to open your doors by pulling the door release latch in the trunk. No need to crawl thru the car

I need to drive the car more so the battery stays charged, or by another battery tender to hook up. (any ideas as to how to leave the battery tender cables on the battery inside the hatch area with an open deck lid?).
Bat may be fine - but your positive line that popped of the battery could have been the reason it wasn't charging. That's KEY to the system charging correctly.
