Odd Question: Do You Feel Guilty...?
...driving your C6Z knowing the unemployment rate is now over 8.1% nationally with over 12.5 million Americans out of work? I do.

No, I'm retired so I'm enjoying the fruits of my labors. Now, if you had asked if I feel sorry for them, then the answer would be yes.
It's a rough scenario out there. 3 folks from our corvette club have just recently lost their jobs and one has already had to sell his C4 to survive. I feel for them but I don't really feel guilty about driving my car.

I feel fortunate, not guilty. While fortune has smiled upon me to a great extent I have also EARNED my ability to own these fabulous cars with hard work and I cannot feel guilty about that.

I live in South Beach where there are 4 Ferraris, Lambos, and Bentleys on every block
So I actually feel like I am showing my patriotism by driving my Z instead of my Ferrari
The worse things get the less I'll drive the imports

I am guessing the simple fact you are even asking the question means the new regime is beginning to get the reaction they wanted.
"They" want "us" to feel guilty and give up even more.
I am sympathetic to those in trouble, and appreciate that any one of use could be in line at a soup kitchen - but for the Grace of God go I.
However, I will never feel guilty for my life or lifestyle, but at the same time won't degrade or despise anyone elses.

Not guilty at all. The country wouldn't have such problems if there weren't so many stupid people around. I didn't create them.

Guilty about having it and driving it? No. I busted my *** to get it. Worried that I might have to sell it if things get worse or if I end up unemployed? Yes. And the only reason it worries me is I am probably upside down in it since the market tanked where I'd have to sell my truck (paid for) to get out from under it.

I work 70-90 hours a week. No joke. I cant remember the last day I left LG Motorsports before 9pm. Lately, its been more like 10-12pm before I head home. Im tickled to death when I get in the Z for my daily commute. I bought it in October, and Its got 10,500 miles
There are MANY on this forum that work hard for what they have. They should enjoy what they have and what they can afford.

At the beginning, I felt odd driving a car that gets so much attention. I'm not really that kind of person and the reason for buying a C6 Z06 was because of the performance. But, feeling guilty because I'm able to drive this car.. no. If you can maintain your lifestyle through this than you are doing right... of course without being a scoundrel! I do feel sorry for those that are unemployed but they are jobs out there and if you have to, like i did, work at a club or restaurant to make some sort of income..... so be it. Your ego won't pay the bills.

Why do these kinds of head trip posts exist? Where all affected in some way, man. Then sell th car. Sit on the porch and dread every day. Come on now. Or, get out there kick *** and don't look back.
This is a Vette Forum and more specifically a Z06 forum. For many, I hope, a form of refuge to free our minds of the negatives of the world out there. Leave personal guilt trips away.
I'm sure your hearts in the right place, but not in here..geez.
Just a humble opinion.
Now I'm going to go out into my garage, start up my sweet ride, listen to the purity of that throbbing V8 and then, ride off into the sun set.

Hell no. I worked my *** off for the car. I bought it WHEN I knew I could afford it, and didin't take out a second mortage or home equity line of credit to finance it.
It was actually an early graduation present I bought myself. I graduate with a BS in Engineering in May.
My daily driver has 215k on the odometer, so I for one will be enjoying the performance only my Z06 can deliver on the weekends.

I feel very sad for the State of our Country... however my Z is paid for.
If I had a car payment now, the way my business is, I wouldn't have a
car. (they would have picked it up already, or I would of had to sell)
I feel very lucky, to have a special car of this nature, since they
are not going to built them anymore....

My neighbor in Florida came over to see my new car, and loved it so much, he's also trying to sell his import and buy a Corvette. Maybe the ball will start rolling in favor of the US auto makers.

You know sometimes I feel really sorry for people who think like this. I will just assume you said this on purpose not really trying to take this question seriously, so that I can still personally leave you with believing you still have good morals, judgments, and ethics.
