I have a 2006 Z06. I have had the roof replaced because of a delamination issue by a Chevrolet dealer. I have just noticed a metal sounding part in my roof liner in the rear of my roof above your head in the car. Any thoughts? Is it easy to take the hard plastic roof liner a part to see what has vibrated loose? You can use your fist and move the part inside the liner.

The first thing I would look at the the panel above your head. Take it off or pull it down a little and you can see two bolts. My 06 had a shim in there that worked loose. That thing made all kind of noises.
