I will relay the message to him. Also we paid over MSRP to get this car. So there is no profit at MSRP.

It is a ZR1 section, therefore it is the right place for offering a ZR1 for sale. You don't like the price? Don't buy it. I simply cannot understand why so many people bash dealerships for trying to make more money when they would do the exact same thing if they had something they wanted to sell that was rare or limited.

Again, if you aren't interested in the car or price, then no need to worry about it.

Well said the pettiness and double standards runs deep in this section.

Actually what happened is that we were suppossed to get more ZR1s and then GM cut us back. So I went out and bought an allocation from another dealer. That is why we paid over MSRP for the car. People may not believe me, but it is the truth.

Don't forget that very few on here can afford a ZR1, but most will buy another corvette. They'll be looking at what dealerships were handing out the royal screeewing, or at least trying to. In the long run, the dealerships that prove to be fair and reasonable will profit from being just that.
I knew a lot of people would probably have some negative things to say about this, but it is a chance I am willing to take to sell the car. I do have the rest of my 2009 Corvette inventory advertised at our net cost. So I am very fair.

Though I rarely agree with dealers with large prices, I do believe in this case the car was purchased for above MSRP...possibly from another dealer.

I want a boardwalk coffee mug

I don't think I would consider them an idiot. They are currently driving their ZR1 while others are wishing they had one. That is definitely worth something.

If you don't like the price, don't buy it. To call a guy who can plunk down $148k for a Vette an idiot probably makes you look like the king of idiots. Not to mention, it's "their", not "there."

I won't pay over MSRP, but if the dealerships can get it, more power to them. Lord knows dealerships need to make a profit on anything nowadays to keep the lights on. If they can make $20k or more on one sale, good for them. It won't be my money, but I understand the whole concept of capitalism.

If you guys want to rail on crooks, check out the losers on Wall Street who pay themselves huge bonuses with taxpayer billions after losing their company billions.

I am not surprised I have talked to other dealers who bought cars from other dealers for over MSRP. There are 28 on the ground and only 610 made so far for 09. Thats not alot of cars. I'm driving mine and its worth every penny.

That is just unnecessary.

I totally agree with you. Even though the economy is weak, not many Zr1s have been made and to get one dealers even have to pay a premium. This is the Zr1 section and if you don't have anything positive to say about this car or price then just keep it to yourself.

The price's too high,I think(over 40% extra cost to MSRP)
Depend the information of my fd in sacramento,
the lowest price range now I know is about 120000-125000,brand new.
I think it may down to 105000-110000USD.
Like the thing we said:
"Early order makes earlier enjoy, later order makes discount"
