Is the 08 worth 15 more than the 06?
for the guys who sold or traded in their 06's to get an 08 or 09, was it worth the extra money or if you had it to do over again you would have kept what you had?

Personally id rather have an 06 for weight and performance benefits but thats just me. Any Z would make me happy as long as I had one.

in my opinion the only thing of major concern is the warranty. If you can stand to leave the car stock, then it may be worth if for the 100k mile warranty, just my .02

The weight difference only comes into play when the top blows off. Once it's put back on they are about the same, because they use a heavier glue to secure it.

My 08 1lz seems pretty fast to me. As others have said what performance benefit do 06's have over the other years? None from what I can gather.
I thought the 09's had the extra weight from the hatch pull down and more sound deadning but the previous years were all the same?
Does the TR-6060 transmission weigh more than the t-56? If so that would be the only thing that would add more weight than the 06's or 07's that I could think of.

GM will void the GMPP warranty if you mod the car. I was looking at a 08 BMW M3 and BMW had voided the brake part of the warranty because the owner had installed stainless brake lines. Looks like every manufacturer is going to ding you for anything they can just to cut warranty costs.
