[Z06] Does the 08/09 really ride that much better than the 06/07?

I have an 'early' 2007, and I purchased the "new" shocks from GM. By your definition of "improvement" (ride over bumps) my answer would be YES! The old shocks were very 'taught' over bumps, the new ones much more compliant. I did not say "soft", just much more compliant, and IMHO a great improvement for anyone who uses this car as a DD. It really had no effect on the handling; just easier on bumps.

I had an early 2006 and was very disappointed in both the ride and steering. My 2008 is a great improvement. There are some good threads on the steering which GM went to great effort to improve.

I always thought of replacing the shocks with the newest upgrade from gm. would that be an 08 or 09? Didnt they change the 09' configurations a bit so they wont work on an 06 but 07 and 08 would. Lastly is it worth it to replace the shocks to an 08 gm part of just go with Bilsteins? I have them on my lifted truck and love them.?
