Default Texas Mile teaser-- LG Motorsports Twin Turbo Z

Hi Guys,

This car has been in the making for a few months now, but we have been pretty quiet about it for a few reasons as we were not sure if we would make it to the mile. well, we are ready! Our only goal at this point is to go over 200. Anything more than that will be icing on the cake. To this day, there is only one C6 over 200, and thats Norms Yellow car

The basic build is:

07Z
LG Spec APS Twin turbo kit
Stock LS7 block
Callies Magnum crank
Billet Rods
Mahle pistons
9:1
Stock 4 bolt LS7 heads
LG G7xT turbo cam
Speed inc Base 2.5 bar tune ( Thanks jim!)
LG Motorsports modular fuel system ( support up to 2000 hp)
96# injectors
A lot of tuning and a lot of hard work by everyone at LGM
Meth kit, but not used for these runs.

The car will NOT hook up on the dyno on medium boost ( 16 psi) as you can see by the dips and lack of peak power. It will make it, but my rollers are very worn out and it spins just past peak Tq. Im prepared for 18-20 psi, and we picked up ~ 40 rwhp with each pound of boost from 12-16.

Things to note- 1000 rwtq@ 3700.

700 rwtq@ 3000.

The low () power pull of 700/700 is on the waste gates which is ~ 7.5 psi.

I will post more pics when I get a chance, but I thought some of you would like this

Hope to see some of you out there!!

Louis

Pretty amazing. Do you think a system that increases the boost as you move up in the gears would help keep the thing planted?

Congrats on the #'s! Very nice

Best of luck at the Texas Mile, should be a great time.

Does this car have a roll cage? That's what kept me from going.

Stock trans, little worked diff. Nothing radical.

The clutch is our new killer Tilton. http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...oducts_id=1967 an exedy twin gave way around 820 rwtq.

As for boost by gear, Jim ^^ has rigged up a nice ESP switch setup that I adopted and changed so I could use 5th gear.

The car does not have a roll cage. Lou, who holds 2 professionl competition licenses- SCCA pro and an FIA, must pilot the car, and we had to sign our life away.

The fuel system is my little science project Twin Bosch 044 pumps we use on the GT2 car. Its a mess of lines and regulators, but you do NOT have to TOUCH the stock fuel system, save for one return line to the filler neck. I will make a separate post about that here soon, and it WILL drain BOTH stock tanks with ZERO effect to the jet pump.

5th gear works on mine as well, though it just uses the same setting as 4th gear.

I tried convincing them to let me just sign my life away and they weren't going for it.

Louis, I am looking forward to your fuel system post. I hope you guys are doing well with this economical situation at hand, we are getting slow here, I got enough work to last me through the end of November and part of December right now. I got a new baby boy coming the first week of December so that will keep me busy after that
