OP, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you came back in a few days posting pics of your ZR and telling us this thread worked. Doesn't seem like that many cars are being sold at the current asking prices. Good Luck in your search.

I am happy as hell with my ZR1 and can't imagine anyone sorry they spent the money unless they have money issues.
Never spend more than you should on anything or like your friend, you will regret it.
Eric
So, the ONLY reason that someone might regret buying a ZR1 is because they didn't really have the money to spend on the car on the first place?

Give us a break, man.

For all you know his friend is a billionaire that only drives $500,000 cars and he bought a ZR1 and said man, this thing is a major POS compared to my other cars I shouldn't have bought it.

Why do you two seem to think we would lie about paying MSRP? Why do those of us who did pay MSRP have to prove it to you or anybody? However, for $150 doc fee I will scan and PM you a copy of my paperwork. (notorized if you wish) Why the fee, I can see new tires in my future.......

HotZ06.. sorry to hijack your thread, but they started it.....

Sorry pal, even those with IQs starting at room temperature won't be so retarded to pay $150 for a scan job. However, I for one believe you paid MSRP for your ride.

There are only a couple dealers on this site. Why dont you use the jeffhardy search and email all the dealers that have zr-1's in stock that you are interested in. Probably wouldnt take you to long to do. I believe 7500 is definitely doable. The dealers right now should want to move a 120k asset off the books.

OK i'll give "you" a break unless you have a frog in your pocket?
Then i will give "us" a break.
I'll take the ZR1 performance over my 430, SL, 2 bentleys or my Vantage roadster and DB9.
He might be a billionaire but if he wanted performance and doesn't like the ZR1, he's an idiot.I was trying to be nice and assumed he must have money problems.

If they can't sell them for $25-$50K over now, what makes them think they will be able to sell them for that later? I know if I called and they told me $25K over MSRP and I said no and they later called me and said how about $10K over MSRP my answer would be to pound sand and call me when it's UNDER MSRP.

Good luck Hot Z. My advice would be spend NOTHING over MSRP and give $7,500 to charity when you get the car at MSRP.

I asked him how much he paid over msrp for his ZR1 and this is his replied.

I don't pay over sticker for any of my cars. Not my Scuderia, not my 599 not my F430s not my Vette. Guess I am stubborn but also am fortunate to have relationships that afford me that luxury.

I also don't tend to mod my Italians. I will mod my long-term track cars with tires, exhaust, wheels, cast and camber adjustments especially where I am likely to keep the car long-term. The Vette, however is not destined to be a keeper - but if I do love, love, love it, I will come a knockin'!!!!!!
As he must with Ferrari, he buys and sells many cars which is atypical of the average Corvette buyer --- that is why he can make unequivocal statements. Best

I also say hold out and pay msrp, and feel free to send me the $7,500 you saved so that I may purchase another Z06... (I know, I'm dreaming)

Good advice. Patience will reward those with MSRP and below deals soon enough. JMHO but why pay market adjustment that will rapidly become vehicle depreciation within a matter of just a few months?? Unless you have so much cash you don't care.

Because he wants the car NOW! What is so hard to understand about that.
