Katech ruined me!!!
Some of you know that I have been a big proponent of Katech. I have waved the strobing K flag higher than anyone on the west coast.
Unfortinutely, it is time that I address some negative issues associated with my relationship with this company. Last week a very good friend of mine offered to upgrade my audio system with a prototype he has been working on for the C6. He had the car for a week in Orange, California. In his shop were an '08 Maserati Grand Turismo and an '07 Aston Martin DB9 vert. I got to play with them both. I soon as I sat in those cars I thought; "Man... as much money as I had spend on my Z, I could have either one of these."
But then I drove them and all that went away. Neither of the cars had the power and handling of my Katech Z. Getting on the freeway wasn't nearly as fun or exciting in the way I get with my Z. Now, It wasn't all bad playing with those cars. I got lots of looks. I'm sure people had a hard time understanding why there was a Mexican in these cars without a red valet vest.
Then it him me even harder. If I owned these cars, where would I park them? Any place other than a secure parking garage or in my own garage would cause me much worry. Who's gonna molest it, door dings, bumper tags... Ugh! Hey, I park my Z at the mall, grocery stores and such with little worry. Then I think about the high dollar service that these cars require. All of the sudden it hit me.
F'n Katech ruined all the fantasies I've had about owning exotics!
Yeah... If I ever get stupid rich, I'll probably get one some day and it will sit in the garage and I'll take if for drives up and down the coast, but in the end, it will just end up back in the garage. And I'll still be driving my Katech Z to work, pick up some groceries on the way home, maybe leave it out in the driveway overnight.
Thanks alot Katech...

The rules are designed to allow for the posting of a factual account of an unresolved dispute after all reasonable efforts have been made to resolve the issue offline. Once the post is made, we leave it open to give all parties with direct knowledge of the dispute a chance to post their version of the facts. Then, the thread is locked and goes into the archives so it will be available by search for anyone researching parts/services/vendors. That establishes a record future customers and so the Forum can watch for patterns of poor customer service that would warrant removal of a vendor.
The problem with the threads often is that those with no direct knowledge of the dispute like to pile on in a “bandwagon effect” to take sides on an issue or debate the situation based on one version of the facts.

..dude, SUE!!!! SUE!!!! SUE!!!!!
You a minority with enough evidence to prove that a "white" company has oppressed you into depression and mental instability.
Funny, as stupid as it may sound, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lawyer out there that would actually take something like the seriously!

The worst part of it is, just when I've completed my own little 12 step recovery program and think I'm fine, Jason goes and posts a thread with more new, cool stuff.
Not only do all other cars seem inferior, but they've now got us hooked. I'm almost afraid to open any of his posts anymore, cuz I know my reaction is going to be, "Oh man, that's really cool. . . boy that would be great to have. . . would work real nice on my rig. . . dohh, Trav, man stop it. . . aaaaggghhhh."
I don't know how he sleeps at night,
Travis.

What do you mean "IF you get stupid rich?" You have Joanne, the boys, your faith, man what more do you want. O, I know, you want MORE Katech mods!
Katech does become contagious. I love mine and drive it almost every day also. I now have almost 20,000 miles on it and I have loved them all. You are so right about taking it on trips or parking it outside. Mine is usually garaged but it has been parked at many hotels.
Keep complaining some lawyer will take your case! O, wait a minute, you are Mexican!

I've been eyeing some Aston rather closely, too close for my wife's comfort. I agree with you, I don't see being able to park it anywhere without worrying about it, I don't even trust those valet dudes. Love the looks of the Aston Vantage (any Aston actually), but they all look extremely similar.

I can see Jason's blood pressure going up the first time he sees the title of this thread until he realize it's just Frenchian.
I've seen a lot of exotics lately and they're just "meh..." for me too after driving a Katech monster.
