On a built engine what is a safe nitrous shot for the ls7 engine. Katech is putting my engine together and I am thinking of a 200 shot, feedback would be great.

What the heck are you planning on racing the NASA space shuttle? Man I would think with a nice Katech built engine along and maybe a small 75 shot or 100 would be more than adequate for most. What are you trying to achieve with it?

What application are you setting it up for?

Is the engine being built for nitrous? What piston design is it? Ring gap?

People blow engines up with 50hp shots because they don't have an understanding of what they are doing.

A 200hp hit isn't crazy at all, but you have to set the car up for it. Not only does the engine have to be right, it takes the right nitrous kit, controller, tune, plugs, fuel, fuel system, etc.

The engine is being built for nitrous, but Katech will not install a nitrous system I have to find someone else for the nitrous install, my goal is 145 mph 1/4 mile.
