C6r wing-who has one & where to buy?
thinking on adding some body parts to the z. zr1 chin spoiler,zr1 side skirts, aftermarket difuser & custom hood.
the final touch with be a c6r rear wing. does not have to be carbon fiber. but it has to look identical to the c6r.not too big-not too small.
i've done a search & came up with close to nothing.
breathless perf, LG,ACP,Pratt & miller are the places i've researched and found wings, but not thr c6r.
anyone?

Pratt & Miller makes the C6r wing. run about $5,000.
But they dont sell them for street use.
Your best bet would be ACP for the World Challenge body Kit. about $25,000 for all the body parts. then instillation and paint
There are a few other after market body parts companies.

Well, that's a different story, I guess. Didn't realize it was made entirely of carbon fiber (expensive material and difficult to work with). But still, if this isn't a dedicated track car, seems like a waste of money to me. But to each their own, and if you have that money to spend as you please, more power to you.

I have fiberglass race body parts and those were expesive enough.
But you did say you WANTED THE REAL DEAL.
A C6R NEW ( if GM would sell you one) is about $1,000,000 and a used ones sold to LCC in France were $750,000 each

The P&M brackets are mounted to the frame rails and allow a huge array of rake settings.

Like I said, if you track your car often enough and go fast enough to warrant the use of these components (and you can afford it), go for it. No one said racing was a cheap hobby, haha.

Nope.
and Short-Throws( above ) is a P & M wing
ACP wing now is around $1800, Hardbar $2000. Both plus mounting hardware
Dont plan on going to fast. That wing will put down force on the rear deck and crack it. or if mounted to the car frame like they should be. the cars nose will be in the air.

Advanced Composite Products (Harrisburg, PA) has a very nice adjustable real carbon fiber wing that attaches to the frame. It is wind-tunnel tested and when I saw it at Carlisle last weekend, it looked very nice. It lists for $3025 and according to them, they require a 3-4 week lead time to assemble it for you. I have their world challenge hood and the fit/finish is 1st class.
BTW - LG motorsports has one on their site but I'm not too familiar with it. It looks like it doesnt attach to the frame but will defer to them for more info.

ACP can make you a wing and mount. I am sure he can make the trunk open too. It would actually work better the farther back it is from the roof. If you like the looks. It will unbalance the car at higher speeds over 100 +- He is not making Pep Boy wings so they cost.

When you mount a wing to the deck lid or something other than the frame you will have flex. If the wing can flex at speed under load the AOA (angle of attack) will change. This will make the wing less efficient when set up. Just stick your hand or thin light sheet of some material out the window at speed and see how sensitive it is to change of AOA. The farther back and higher the wing is the cleaner the air is and it works better. Farther back also gives the wing more leverage on the car like you are prying something, Most or many race org's do want it no higher than the roof or not back farther than the rear of the car.
