Also what should I look out for?

Thanks
I own a new 07 (1/08) more heat insulation used in the 07. Check for evidence of abuse,Rearend issues, excessive valvetrain noise.

Get the C6Z, as you have heard many times, it is a beast right from the factory and that is no joke. The only car that will be a bigger beast is the 2009 ZR1, so if you can afford it get that one. Those are the two American Made Badboys

When I was talking to the salesman and I told him that I had a 69 vette, he said that they would take in in trade. Three weeks later I was driving the Z06 and I don't regret trading the 69 for a minute. I can drive the Z all day long and not smell like exhaust or have burning feet from the heat from the engine compartment. My 69 was pretty much stock except for some interior engine work, but the suspension and tires were all stock. I had F70-15 bias ply tires on it to keep it original looking. You can guess how it handled. The Z is incredible, it sticks to road like glue and has awesome power. You will wonder why it took you so long to get one.

Good luck.

What did they give you for your trade?

$45,000 for the 69 and they took 10% off of the Z06.

If you just want a great-looking Vette to enjoy cruzin, yes.

If you appreciate fantastic performance, YES!

Op's question regarding year-
IMO the best advantage would be looking for an 07 as the warranty (5yr or 100K miles) is a big deal. If your going to mod, etc. than find the best deal on an 06 or 07.
This thread had some great comments concerning our beloved c6Z06 and they are all true. Got to go, going to breakfast and driving the zeeeeeee

Drive both then judge for yourself. You'll see what the Z06 is all about!

I agree with you wholeheartedly, and I hope that you don't take my "babes" remarks negatively.

By that I just meant that you have not been here long enough to know that while much of what you stated above is 100% true, that your comments above can land you into serious hot water should you venture out of this section and into say, C6 General, with the same remarks. No matter how accurate they are.
OK, duly noted. Hadn't occured to me that inter-model rivalries may exist. FWIW, I love the normal C6s, they are awesome cars and vastly underrated.
