The viper has no traction control or active handling thats why it's aggressive. Now turn TC and AH off on the Z06 and race again, this might release a hidden monster and i think the z06 runs alot faster that way.

Awesome video! Yeah, all the mags pretty much stated that the Viper with it's brutal power, even being 300 lbs heavier, would edge out the Z06 in the quarter and on the race track...so it's old news. However, the ZR1 should really stomp the Viper all the way around.

Those guys dragged the quarter right off the raceway there, no vht down or anything. There have already been et tests with the new 600hp Viper and the et's are ~11.7, not faster that I've seen than the Z with 100 less hp.

It's been brought up so many times, but I do agree that the Viper's PS2's it's wearing no doubt hook up better than the Z's crappy GYSC's. Throw the PS2's on the Z and let's see that quarter mile time again. The shoes always do make a difference.

WARNING TO THOSE ABOUT THE LINK!!!!!!!! That link nearly wiped out my computer! Whatever that program searchlight or something you have to download in order to watch the video it fooked up and put my computer into a frenzy!! I had to reboot my computer to get it to work.

Blitzu, that shouldn't of happened. Silverlight is a plug-in from Microsoft, it's not a virus or anything that would harm your computer. It renders XAML-based user interfaces within a browser. I installed it and played the video without a problem. You probably needed to reboot after installing Silverlight.

I saw that it's from microsoft, but the thing crashed my computer. My computer is fairly new (less than a year old) and runs windows XP pro. I have never had a single problem with the computer or anything else I have downloaded before until I downloaded this thing. Perhaps it's true that you may need to reboot the computer, but I'm not even going to try and click on that link again. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm content just reading about it instead.

Yeah put a Paxton S/C on an '08 Viper to equal the forced induction and the ZR1 will get smoked for much less $$$s.

He might be a professional driver around the track but if he can only get 12.1 in the quarter mile on a Z06, he's no DRAG RACER............

guys, stock for stock, these cars are faster by whoever is behind the wheel. Be it in a straight line or around a track.... the 08' is now a contender and it's basically a drivers race... and I have seen this in person.
