Gustav! So good to see you in these waters....still have that E39 M5? I sold mine. This is "Angel" (Harry) from the M5 board. Hope you are well, thanks for sharing!

Ahh, the famous 4th to 5th gear jam! I have done it several times and it just sucks. For those of you who don't believe it happens, it does, almost 1/2 the time. Just go try it and see for yourself, full acceleration shift from 4th to 5th.

One solution is to have the gearbox sent to RPM Transmissions for upgraded internals and the sport 5th and 6th gear set.

Then no more losses when shifting to 5th and 6th ....... Except maybe veyron and the like.

i agree at full throttle it is a 50/50 chance you are going to find 5th vary anoying. when driving the car normal i have no problem finding 5th.

Yup, the Z06 mayeb was abit early? Do you see the cones they passed?

thats pretty good considering how easily this SLR pulls away from a 430rwhp C5Z

Get an MGW, and the 2nd-3rd... 4th-5th issues are gone...

This car did not get a jump on the SLR, it outpulled it in 1st.
